I have been caring for people practically my whole life, helping my mom care for my brothers and sisters, then staring as a babysitter, then working as a care provider with people that need more intensive care. My most recent job was as a care giver, where l cared for the Elderly and children with especial needs, physically and mentally. I loved my job, it is very rewarding and makes me feel very accomplished helping those in need. I am a caring , loving and very passionate person, and I love helping and caring for those in needs and believing in making the difference in someones life. and it is very rewarding to me to see a smile on their face and having the deeply gratitude and the friendship of their families and loved one.

Hi, my name is Angie. I have been in the nursing industry for over 20 years. I began at age 20 as a CNA 2 working in a nursing and memory care setting. I later worked 7 years fulltime in the ICU. I spent a few years working in labor and delivery and that helped me decide I wanted to make a difference and help others try to keep their independence by staying in their own home. I was absolutely not happy in 2012 when my dad was in a SNF and the care was not desired. He passed away at my home comfortably. I am a strong advisor for seniors and I am good with difficult clients and family members. I have a current CPR, BLS, 1 st Aid, food handling card and am hospice certified. I have reliable transportation, insurance and enjoy running errands, companionship, cooking, light housekeeping and overall helping others. I have excellent references and am seeking 1 full time position with a lot of hours or 2 part time. Ideally I would love a live in situation. My location shows Aumsville. I also have an apartment in Sherwood so the PDX, Salem and Albany are fine as long as it's a good fit

I became a volunteer first, and a caregiver second. I became a caregiver to make a difference in my community and a difference in somebody's life. I enjoy getting my happiness by providing other people with their own happiness. I love being a caregiver because I love helping people and being of good use. My biggest achievement is going against abuse, and going to rallies in local cities to prevent any type of abuse including elderly.

My name is Kristine, I became a CNA2 in 2008 but have been a CNA since 2001. I have worked in a local hospital, Hospice and the Home Health areas, I have enjoyed helping others in participating in their recovery or at the end of life. I have always been drawn to helping others which is why I have been in this field for many years. My name is Desiree . I believe Caregiving is more then rewarding i feel like it is a achievement everyday. I feel i would be a great caregiver cause I am a excellent problumes solver in every way. Like with: Communication ,transferring ,meals ,Or anything i always say (there is always a way ). I love to make people happy, enjoy there self ,or have a good time and feel good about there self. That being said I did that all day long to my clients .I tried to always find ways to make things better for my clients ,or whats going to make them enjoy there day more. I loved working in a adult foster home got to spend much more one on one time which i feel like they enjoyed more . I like To clean and get things done in a timely manner so im able to do more with my clients . Ive exspirenced alot . Never let anyone feel scared or unsafe ive stayed up all night with many clients checkin vitals all night and just being there for them . In fact i did that with one guy he had alot going on but at this time it was respitory problume after a long night of being there by him checking vitals every 15 min and giving treatments calling on all nurse documenting i ended up sending him in that morning saved his life. My boss thought he was fine told me to go to bed . but i never left his side then i made the decision for him to go in he was in hospital for 2 weeks. I new then and now i truly have a heart and passion for care giving. I always did a 48 hour live in shift which was nice. at the end of my 6 years got hired as manager but we got shut down due to other issues of improper management before i got hired as manager.

I started when my parents became sick an needed 24/7 care. It gives me purpose that I am helping older people with day to day projects they are unable to four fill. That I gave my parents the last few years of care and happyness. I have worked in the meical field for over 35 years. I feel that I would like to help the elderly because of the great satisfaction I had caring for my parients. I feel that I would be a good care-taker, personal manager or concierge. I am semi-retired and I have all the time in the world. I am a non smoker, honest, married, and a hard working person. I have a excellent work history with a clean back ground record. I don't mind getting my hands durty when needed. I can cook, clean, shop, yard work and more. I feel I could be an asset to whom ever may hire me :)

I have been a pediatric caregiver for medically fragile children and also for adults on ventilators. I enjoy helping senior citizens with their needs. I encourage their abilities. I have worked with disabled and mentally ill patiends in WA state facilities. My greatest achievement may be keeping a positive attitude while ill with pulmonary fibrosis and then being chosen for a double lung transplant and reaching where I am now with experience as a nurse, caregiver and patient. I raised three sons and then put myself through college. I live in a small town with my two dogs. All of my family live 8 hours away by car. I am independent. I did work briefly last Fall.

I started my career in 2000 when my Mother had a stroke. After she died in 2001, I moved my Grandmother into my home . Shortly after she died in 2003 my adult son was in (full trauma) car accident, I stayed with him at OHSU trauma unit and participated in his care for the month he was there .When he was discharged he still needed 24 hour care at home . It was obvious to me this experience became a passion and When he was able to walk and care for himself I got my CNA certification . I have worked in Locked Memory Unit with 12 residents . Adult foster home.(live in )3 day a week, Long Term care, and skilled nursing homes. Private Care- hourly and live-in. Also managed and staffed , hourly Private care home so the client could stay in her home until the end. My current job: I have been employed 8yr in a hospital on the Med/ surg unit, I am a trainer for the new hires and a mentor for the CNA students during their clinical . I love my work and I enjoy teaching new employee organization and multitasking .

Caregiving is rewarding as a career in that it gives you joy by allowing you to make a difference in peoples lives. The actions and efforts you put forth as a caregiver provides an essential peice of our human need for love, empathy, compassion. True selflessness, to do for others, simply because to give is to truly receive.
