One of my greatest qualities of becoming a caregiver was to care as if it was one of your family members and having that connection one on one in creating a bond and Trust and just making the other person feel safe and bring good energy and being positive everyday. Just learning about the person I'm caring for knowing them on another level of trust and being a friend and compassionate person that is going to help them willingly and how you could just turn your day around and making them feel good and better and for yourself as well. Being a team player cuz sometimes it doesn't go the way you would want things to go and you could just improvise and make it work and adapt to whatever situation is going on in having the communication at all times to know that I'm providing a good job in my caregiving experience.

Hi there! My name is Bryan, I have been in healthcare for twenty one years. I started as a cna in a skilled facility. I did that for five years and then started working with the developmentally disabled in semi-independent living situations as well as AHF's. After that, I became an activities assistant, in a skilled facility. That was one of the most amazing jobs ever. I got to create programs at night for residents with sundowners as well as the ones who were bored. Since then, I have done home care as well as working in facilities. I was born to take care of people and that is that. I've done home care from total quadriplegic care, down to basic companionship and housekeeping. I focus on my client and build relationships on what we have in common and their interests. Connection is important. I have also done a lot of end of life care. Helping the client stay comfortable and help the family understand the process that their loved one is going through. You name it and I have probably encountered it. It takes a special person to be a Caregiver. It is essential to be patient and kind, dependable, knowledgeable and SKILLED. It is also necessary to be creative when issues arrive. Hi , my name is Wendy I am 56 years old and a mother of 6 well adjusted wonderful adult children and grandmother of 5 . I have worked as A CNA for 9 years ( currently Expired ) and a caregiver for over 30 years . I am a caregiver at heart , I followed in my mother's footsteps she has been Cargiving for over 50 years still doing it at 74 years old . I remember when at the young age of 12 years old my mother would take me to work with her on the weekends where she was employed in a assisted living facility and I absolutely loved everything about it and Yes I put to work by her I made beds , I fed patients, I would sit and talk with them and pass out snack and fix their hair. I grew up and continued in her footsteps and have loved every minute of it .
