What attracted me to become a caregiver, i love making a difference in a family and their love ones life. Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I've always loved caregiving, and hope I get the chance to extend some care into the lives of you and your loved ones. Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I'm a people person. I'm flexible and compatible with, I would say, just about every personality type. Just for the simple fact that I accept people for who they are and where they are. I like to say, essentially, I will meet them where they're at in life. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my desire to help people live as free and independent as possible. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love people and their company and I love hearing their stories of where they've been and what they've done. I think what I love most about being a caregiver is just the fact that I'm empowered to give a piece of myself to someone, to hopefully make their life better or more comfortable. I have a lot of achievements, but I think the one that I'm most proud of is the one where I had a client who would not allow anyone to draw their blood or do any kind of testing on them that was really necessary to make things better for them and get them a proper health care assessment. But, they were willing to put down their guard for me. Because of me they allowed work to be done and I can't tell you how thrilled I was that I would have that effect on somebody.

I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.

Hello my name is Sydney and thank you for considering me to be apart of your family and team! I have been an Acute Certified Nursing Assistant for 7 years and rolling. I have worked in over 30+ nursing homes and hospitals around Oregon, Washington and Idaho as a travel CNA and about 3 years working for Hospice. I love being an in-home CNA because that's where I get to see my patients feel happy and safe. I know that can sometimes it can feel impossible without the help of someone like me to keep your loved ones at home! I specialize in bathing, toileting, all personal cares, wound care and I have the training and experience to help those with a variety of illnesses (Dementia, Parkinson's, Strokes, etc) I have decided to make the switch to private caregiving because I am starting to take online classes for the nursing program, which is hard to do working a classic 9-5! So I might be doing homework while your mom or dad snoozes! I am an excellent communicator, educator and person. I take what I do very seriously and have a huge heart for my elders! On my off time I play violin, hike/camp and snuggle with my cat Winston!

Hi, my name is Amie. I have been caregiving since 2009, and have had my own private in home care business since 2012. I am caring, empathetic, respectful and loving. I am also dependable and am there when I'm needed. I absolutely love caring for others with the respect and dignity they deserve. I have several certifications including cpr/first aid(not current), care provider certification, hiv/aids, blood-borne pathogen, dementia, diabetes, delegation and mental health; wonderful references and lots of varied experience, including dementia, Parkinson's, MS, sundowners, behavior issues, breathing and feeding tubes and so much more. I have a nursing degree (but am not licensed), medical assisting degree and 2 other degrees. I also have phlebotomy training and experience. And specialize in quadriplegia, MS and dementia.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am always about putting other people's well being before my own and care about my clients. Care to me not only means getting something for them to eat, but also sitting down with them and being there as a companion and someone to talk to. I became a caregiver because it takes a person with a heart to show their caring ways and I believe that caring is way more important than making money. Caregiving is a career that is often overlooked because we aren't a nurse or doctor but we are essentially one of the many backbones in health care. What i like most about being a caregiver is seeing my clients happy and depend on me to make their day better not only emotionally but also physically as well. I have been told that my smile brightens up clients faces when they see it. My biggest personal achievement was making a client less stubborn and actually start to smile and open up. They didn't like me at first because I was new to them but in the time I knew them they started being more optimistic and having a positive outlook on life again.
