I'm a people person. I'm flexible and compatible with, I would say, just about every personality type. Just for the simple fact that I accept people for who they are and where they are. I like to say, essentially, I will meet them where they're at in life. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my desire to help people live as free and independent as possible. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love people and their company and I love hearing their stories of where they've been and what they've done. I think what I love most about being a caregiver is just the fact that I'm empowered to give a piece of myself to someone, to hopefully make their life better or more comfortable. I have a lot of achievements, but I think the one that I'm most proud of is the one where I had a client who would not allow anyone to draw their blood or do any kind of testing on them that was really necessary to make things better for them and get them a proper health care assessment. But, they were willing to put down their guard for me. Because of me they allowed work to be done and I can't tell you how thrilled I was that I would have that effect on somebody.

Caregiving isn't for everyone, you have to have a great love for it and your clients! I've received Employee of the Month and Nurse Delegation certificate. I work for 2 locations under my company because I enjoy working so much! I truly enjoy the people I work for! I enjoy cleaning, organizing, grocery shopping, helping people get around and anything else I'm able to assist with! I love animals too!

I come with a lot of patience and understanding. Over the years with a lot of training through jobs , taking care of a love one and my own research on disabilities of clients to better understand their needs and circumstances. I put myself in their situation to be more efficient and more compassionate toward each client(s).

Hello my name is Sydney and thank you for considering me to be apart of your family and team! I have been an Acute Certified Nursing Assistant for 7 years and rolling. I have worked in over 30+ nursing homes and hospitals around Oregon, Washington and Idaho as a travel CNA and about 3 years working for Hospice. I love being an in-home CNA because that's where I get to see my patients feel happy and safe. I know that can sometimes it can feel impossible without the help of someone like me to keep your loved ones at home! I specialize in bathing, toileting, all personal cares, wound care and I have the training and experience to help those with a variety of illnesses (Dementia, Parkinson's, Strokes, etc) I have decided to make the switch to private caregiving because I am starting to take online classes for the nursing program, which is hard to do working a classic 9-5! So I might be doing homework while your mom or dad snoozes! I am an excellent communicator, educator and person. I take what I do very seriously and have a huge heart for my elders! On my off time I play violin, hike/camp and snuggle with my cat Winston!

I am very caring person and i like to take my time with my client without any kind of busy feelings. Im passionate and listening what person have to say, i do take my time to listen. I really do my best and sometimes eaven more than that.

I started volunteering at my local senior center as a teenager, and from then I knew I wanted a career with elders. I was given an opportunity to caregive 3 years ago, and I quickly worked up the latter to running a house. I have found myself gaining trust of my residents easily and maintaining a personal yet professional relationship with them. Recently I completed NA training and am awaiting my State Board testing for my CNA license.

I would like to provide companionship for someone that needs assistance. I am available for transportation to an appointment, cleaning, organizing, laundry, shopping and short day trips to enjoy the flowers. My experience has been caring for my father for several years, he had Parkinson's Disease with progressive dementia. He was a Veteran and received fabulous care through VA facilities. My sister and I provided his transportation to appointments to VA clinics and the hospital on the hill. Currently, I am a caregiver/companion for a sweet lady with dementia. She lives at home with her husband, I stay with her so he can take some time away to go fishing or take care of personal business. I live in Scappoose with my husband of 47 years, we have two children and four grandchildren that are fabulous!

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am always about putting other people's well being before my own and care about my clients. Care to me not only means getting something for them to eat, but also sitting down with them and being there as a companion and someone to talk to. I became a caregiver because it takes a person with a heart to show their caring ways and I believe that caring is way more important than making money. Caregiving is a career that is often overlooked because we aren't a nurse or doctor but we are essentially one of the many backbones in health care. What i like most about being a caregiver is seeing my clients happy and depend on me to make their day better not only emotionally but also physically as well. I have been told that my smile brightens up clients faces when they see it. My biggest personal achievement was making a client less stubborn and actually start to smile and open up. They didn't like me at first because I was new to them but in the time I knew them they started being more optimistic and having a positive outlook on life again.

I enjoy helping people. I find the challenging aspects of the job very rewarding. I am punctual and reliable at my job as well as in my personal life. I have janitor and line cook experience, and I really enjoy preparing meals and cleaning. I enjoy meeting new people and having good conversations.

I love helping people. In need. Giving back is a big thing for me. I am a loving person at all I do and I do this not only be cause I need the help myself for my family but for the love of the job I do for others to see them smile and appreciate me for being there for them. That is what makes me to countiue to be a wonderful caregiver that I am.. My self meds for my clients is a smile a day will keep all the pain and sorrows away.. Only one life we have lets keep it happy.
