Ever since my mother was diagnosed in 2016 with kidney cancer, I've taken a newfound appreciation for home health care. I helped my father and younger sister care for our mother in her last years. My family has instilled a kindness in me that I carry with me every single day, as it's part of who I am, of who they raised me to be. My parents taught me about how to reflect the love I've been given in my life back out into the world, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about how I can make a difference. I've learned a lot in my life about patience, about knowing to remain joyful in every day, as we are never promised tomorrow. I've been a caregiver for my father in the last few years as well, and I'll never regret that. Being someone who will listen, who will show up and be there for the ones we love, that is what is important to me. I hope I can be that pillar of support for others in my life, and I'm inspired by my parents kindness to do so. I enjoy being able to give others a chance at independence, to feel better about their situations knowing it doesn't have to be done alone. Helping my family in their time of need has been my greatest achievement, because at the end of the day the connections I carry through this life are what matter the most to me. I'm always wanting to learn, wanting to elevate my understanding of this life in how we can help each other, and my goal is to continue to bring that kindness instilled to me to every table I sit at in my life. My father and sister have lived their whole lives with diabetes, so I'm very familiar with treatments and knowing the signs for potential lows or highs in blood sugar levels. I believe in respecting people who need support and allow myself to be available however I can in their day to day life. I keep myself in good shape and have no problems with assisting in any heavy lifting a client may need.

My initial interest in caregiving began when I started caring for my Grandmother who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1987. I saw the difference it made in her life to have someone available and willing to help her with the things that most of us are able to take care of ourselves. We take for granted every day that we are healthy and able to perform these tasks. It is a blessing to have someone who is available to help us with these things when we are no longer able to do them. In my time as a caregiver, I feel that I have seen and helped with everything from the most basic needs to the most complex. There isn't much that scares me. I am easily able to let difficulties with even the most challenging clients slide right off my back. I have thick skin and I am not easily offended. When I accepted the position with Visiting Angels back in 2011, not only was I able to supervise a crew of approximately 65 caregivers but I had the opportunity to occasionally assist with filling in for those caregivers in the event of an emergency. Since moving here to Florida in late 2015 I have not had the opportunity to work directly with clients since my work now is mostly computer and phone related supervisory duties, remotely from home. I miss the hands on care and the one on one relationships that are formed when caregiving. I am very interested in helping to supplement my income while making a difference in someone else's life. Now that we have moved back to the Greenville, SC area, I am ready to get started!

I have 35 years of caregiving experience. Have taken care of patients from the age of birth to 101 yrs old. Worked with hospice care, psychiatrics hospital, parkinson's, cancer, the blind, cognitive problems, paralyzed patients, dementia and many other illnesses and diseases.

Hi... I am Barry Gersten, I have to say that my best quality as a caregiver is that I am always willing to help with whatever is needed. I dont shy away from things that I know I can do. Another great quality that I have is that I like to see things organized and tidy and do not like to leave when things are not in order. One of the things I find that I really enjoy is helping people, especially those who are not able to help themselves. Back in the early 2000s, my Mother was diagnosed with Cancer (Emphysema ). I was her primary caregiver, and it brought me joy to know that I was there to help her through her most difficult times.

I'm not Just a Caregiver it is my Passion and Calling I Love Ppl and will do whatever it takes to make sure they have the proper care. I believe in going beyond the call of Duty to make sure the clients and families are Satisfied, I started when I was 12 yrs old taking care of my neighbor that had surgery, she had know family and I would go everyday after school to make sure she was ok. I always found myself reaching out to help someone I Love children I had a baby that was left in my store and I adopted him. He was 6 mos old and Now 30 a very find Young Man, I have raised many of children..

I have 23 years of experience as a certified nursing assistant. I am certified. I love taking care of people it has always been a passion of mine. I always go above and beyond to make sure my residents are very well taken care of.

I am a good caregiver. I care for those that are under my care. I am very attentive, aware of when I need to respond to certain situations. I act in a timely manner and willing to provide constant care.

I'm a CNA of 15 years with experience working at a hospital, assisted living and memory care , nursing homes . I have done private duty and also worked with austic children and adults . I started in the healthcare field because of my passion to help people . I enjoy the personal connection when it's one on one care . Im professional and have been told I give good baths . I enjoy being of service to people . My proudest achievement is going back to college .

I am very patient and understanding of the needs of my clients as well as their family members . What made me decide to become a care giver was when my mother became ill immediately after my father passed away. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is making others happy by fulfilling their wishes. A personal achievement that I am proud of is having cared for my mother.

I wanted to become a caregiver because, i love helping people. I took care of my sickly husband for years until he passed away. I have been working in the field of work for over 20 years. I am a very loving and caring person. I don't want to see anybody hurt or in pain and will do my best to help them out. I enjoy being able to have a bond with the patients. My best personal achievements is definitely my kids and grandkids.
