If I have any kind of developmental disability or I have become aged, weak or sick and need support, what sort of person would I like to take care of me? That is the kind of person I am. I have a lot of compassion and Love to offer. I'm patient and kind; I would do anything to make sure that the person I'm taking care of is comfortable and happy. I will make sure that they never lack what they need from me as their CNA. I believe in following rules and regulations that are laid out for me without any fail. Hello, my name is Elisa I am 59 years old My caregiving started in 1995 , as my Mother became ill , I knew she would want a high level of in home care that I would personally be able to provide. As her illness became more advanced , it was important to me that she be able to stay in her home where she would be more comfortable. A few time a week turned into every day, then several hours a day. My Mothers wishes to be at home in her time of need was fulfilled . And it was a blessing and a honor to be there for her. I found myself wanting to give other families the same opportunity my Mother was given. I continued working closely with other families as well as with the IHSS of King Co. from 1995 till 2001.Then in California in Contra Costa Co. From 2002 - 2009 then , I returned back to Washington State where I have continued my work with private families. I'm a CNA who has been caring for seniors over the past 14 years in conjunction with other caregivers in their private homes. I assisted with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, maintaining adequate groceries in the house through the family. I engaged in daily activities, including organizing mail, managing appointments, and exercising. I provided daily transferring of the patient from bed to wheelchair, to recliner and walking around the house and assisted with exercise programs. I enjoy working with Seniors so that they can live in their homes as long as possible and so that their family members can have peace of mind. I enjoy finding ways to make life easier for someone to live in their home. I am patient and an out of the box thinker.

I started of in the caregiving field with taking care of my grandfather. In the process I got to learn a lot and I did enjoy doing it. I treat every client like my own family with love and compassion. Every client had different needs, so I get to understand the client first and foremost. I mostly enjoy the learning process in caregiving, no matter how long one has been a caregiver, we get to learn new things every time. I once had a client who had dementia (late stage), who did not want to go to bed (it was late at night). One thing that the client enjoyed was watching animal documentaries . I showed the client pictures of different animals that I had taken when I went to Kenya and the client calmed down and I was able to redirect the client to bed. My patience with the client helped me assure the client that I was on her side. This scenario really made me proud of the caregiver that I'm becoming. I love what I do.

I have a great 13 years professional experience as a certified Nursing assistant/ care giver. I love/enjoy to help others and to see my clients getting comfort and recover from many situations in their home. I had great attachment with my grandparents as I grew and my mom was a practitioner nursing. I am willing to learn and listening others need. I am so proud to be a mother and side to side caring my clients. The great accomplishments I done and always proud Finished my nursing prerequisite and achieved four years callage. I have compassion and empathy for my clientele. I became a caregiver after I came to this country a while ago and I immediately loved it. I being the first born in my family have done a lot of care in different areas. I was taught by my parents how to love,give attachment, attention, protection and help regardless the kind of situation. I've always been trying to help the elderly back home in severe cases and have been doing this out of my heart I was also a teacher and a counselor back home and this helped me very much to know how I can chip in and give some care I'm always happy when I see someone out of danger and is having some peace. This caregiving job is extremely good because when you are with your clients you relate with them and therefore you feel in the right place and in another family setting. I really enjoy because I feel them as my family forks. I've realized quite some reasonable changes generally in my clients lifestyle and health improvements .when I see they are confident and are trusting me for their care I feel good and honored, so I feel proud of my achievement.
