I feel that I am a great caregiver because I'm a mom for one. I know how to care for a person in need. I have also had to take care of my father who suffered from a stroke 8 years ago.

I am very passionate about being a caregiver and helping people. I enjoy the smiles on their faces when the smallest things are done for them. I love to laugh and be silly and put smiles on people's faces. One recent personal achievement I have is I became a CNA just recently ack in July after being a caregiver for 5 years.

I very much enjoy the work I do. It makes me feel like I am making a difference in the lives of the individuals I care for. I actually talk and listen to what they have to say. I believe I am blessed to sit there and listen to the back in the old days stories. At the end of the day it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I treat my clients like they're my family. What attracted me to this field is that I started helping my mom in home health then been with it every since. The most thing I love about helping people in need is that I want them to be happy where they're comfortable at which is home and make them feel like they have nothing to worry about as long as I'm there by they're side and knwing they trust me to help them with they're daily needs. What makes me a great caregiver is that I genuinely love taking care of others. Since I was younger, I was the one that people turned to help take of others in my family. I took care of both my grandparents until they transitioned. I'm a people person. I have a caring heart and most importantly I'm a listener. I'm attentive and compassionate. I try my best to go above and beyond to make those I care for feel better and cared for. I've been certified for 11 years. I love doing what I do, and that's helping others in their time of need.

The reason why i became a caregiver was because i wanted to better myself, i wanted to help people. I knew it would be rewarding but no where near as rewarding as it really is! I love being a caregiver. I use to wake up and dread going to work! Now i love it so much, i just love being able to be with them with their family can't, Its so much more than just a paycheck to me. As a caregiver most of the time we are the first ones they see before they go to bed, and the first when they wake up. We have the choice be able to make there day wonderful! I have that chance that even though there sad about being in the position they are, that they know that they are still loved and still cared for! That no matter what someone will be there holding there hand! I am definitely emotionally involved in what i do! & thats what makes it so amazing !!
