I have known since I was young what i wanted to do in life. I wanted to be a Mom, wife and I wanted to care for others. When I got my first job as a caregiver I knew I was right where I belonged. Its physically and mentally challenging on a loved one to always have to do everything and especially if their not trained or knowledgeable about what they need to do. Its honestly a full time job. That's where my help comes in. At the end of The day the stories I get to hear and the knowledge they share with me is priceless. I take care of each person with the joy and love as I did my very 1st client .. It still brings me so much happiness and just humbles me. I'm patient, I'm compassionate and very understanding. Most importantly I listen and talk with them. If they cant I will play music or read to them. I will bath them and change them if they are incontinent. My time with them Is just that. They have my full attention. It can be challenging and hard to trust someone with your loved ones. I vow to care for them professionally and compassionately.

I have been a certified nursing assistant since 1993. I have worked in nursing homes, home health and hospice. I currently work as a caretaker for a couple in Sylacauga. I feel that I am very compassionate about my work. I love my patients and families. I do tend to get attached some because I genuinely care about my patients and their well being. I love being able to help people. I honestly didn't know what I was getting into when I was 20 years old but after over 20 years I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have always been told that I was in the right field of work. I have always had great reviews and compliments from my patients and their families.
