I became a caregiver because I love helping other people. I just feel like its my calling. I like to see people be happy and have a good quality of life and at the same time maintain a sense of independence as much as possible. I am proud to have raised two wonderful adult children and see them accomplish their goals. I am a certified CNA and have been in the health care field for 20 plus years and I enjoy working with people.

I am a patient and compassionate caregiver. I grew up caring for my Grandmother and Aunt, I enjoy the company of elderly people. I was attracted to be a caregiver because I feel as if it is my calling. I enjoy seeing the happiness and satisfaction on my clients when we accomplish tasks that seem difficult to them. I'm Michelle Outsey wright, I've been working since I was 9 yrs. old. My very first job was baby setting. Next, I did tutoring. When I was 10 I started going around my neighborhood helping the elderly! I loved it! I use to help them clean, cook, I'd do hair, I'd even help them in personnel ways! They loved me! I have always loved just helping and being there for others. As a child I wanted to be a teacher,( done that), a nurse(doing that now), Childcare provider( done that). At 15 my first summer job was at Children's hospital as a unit clerk. I've ways loved helping people. I love making them smile. I love being around the elderly because they give me so much inspiration. I love their stories and I learn a lot from them also. When I take care of someone I love giving my all and doing my very best. I'm a very caring and considerate person. Always put others before me. I was married, I raised 7 children that weren't mine biologically. But I treated them like my own for over 7 yrs. I'm also an apprenticed funeral director and embalmer. I love people till death literally! I've been a CNA for 10ys. Did Childcare for 10 yrs. I'm currently in school to become a lisensed mortician and an RN. But I very much enjoy being a CNA! It's my passion. I love every thing I do.

I AM A GREAT CAREGIVER BECAUSE I CARE, I CARE HOW THE PATIENT FEELS AND THE FAMILY. I LIKE TO IMAGINE THAT IF THE PATIENT WAS MY FAMILY MEMBER HOW THEY WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED SO I TREAT THE PATIENT AS IF HE/SHE WAS A PART OF MY FAMILY. I BECAME A CNA BECAUSE MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER GOT SICK AND HAD ALZHEIMERS AND MY FAMILY DIDN'T WANT TO PUT HER IN A HOME, SO WE KEPT HER AT HOME AND EACH ONE OF US TOOK TURNS TAKING CARE OF HER.

I became a care giver because I cared for some of my family members for some time... I enjoyed it because I was able to give back some ability and independence... I have been a cnafor ten years and I give loving tender care to patients as if they're my own family

I have recently completed a CNA course at Jeff State Community College where I also completed a GED class, which were both fulfilling achievements. Although I am a naturally caring and nurturing person, my interest in this area sparked when my grandmother was diagnosed with alzhiemer and dementia didease 3 years ago. I have since helped in caring for her and watched the effect this disease had on individuals and their families. I believe that understanding the aging process is the 1st step to being an excellent caregiver.

I became a caregiver because I love helping others that cannot help themselves, also I love listening to the old fashion stories they tell you about the good old days when they were young. It is a true blessing to be able to help someone with their basic everyday needs...caregiving is a special gift from God and not everyone has the patience or passion for this kind of work. I have been known to become attached to my clients as though they were family because you spend so much time together day in and out. This is truly what I was born to do.
