I started as a care professional in 1976. I owned and operated my care giving business for children until Dec 2007. I opened Delaney Care Giving in Jan 2008 operated that until. June 24 2016 when I restructured my business as a nonprofit organization. I am a true at heart Care Professional.

I have been doing home care with mostly Seniors since about 2000. Before that I worked in a care facility as a caregiver before I went to nursing school. I was a nurse for 13 yrs. & a rehab aide for 14 yrs. @ a hospital in Ohio. I had CNA training in Ohio & have done mostly homecare since & continued with it since we moved to Arizona in 2003. I have been working 12Hr. 24Hr. shifts & have no problem working 2 & 3 days in a row, it's what I'm used to. I'm able to cook meals, transport to appts., or outings, grocery shop, laundry, assist with ADL's, assist with exercises, personal hygiene, & light housekeeping. I want to pursue a career in the health field. Some day I want to be able to call myself, "Dr. Esqueda!" When that day comes, I want to be able to say i have been there and I have done it. I believe in doing so, it will make me a more compassionate and understanding doctor. Most of all, I enjoy the satisfaction of helping others. Recently I did enroll into Pre-med. My placement test scores were high enough for me to receive the Presidential Scholarship (Honor's Scholarship) at Mesa Community College; however, because I did not graduate in a high school within Maricopa county, I could not receive the scholarship. Still, I was very proud of myself and will enroll into honor classes, with or without the requirement, primarily because I love a challenge and believe one should always set their standards high. If your dream does not intimidate you then, it is not a dream.

I was a CNA, have my caregiver certificate, CPR and first aide, fingerprint clearance card, an up to date on my TB. I have been in this line of buisness for over 20 years. I have worked with quads, paraplegics, elderly, children, dementia, cancer patient, burn victims, behaviral patients, sun downers, bed bound, Parkinson's, etc. I can use a hoyer, stand by assist, pivot transfer. Wherever I worked I was always asked to lift the heaviest. They say that when I do it, it looks easy. I tell them it is just how you use your body. I have done companionship, errands, personal care, wound care, housekeeping, etc. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes, day care for the elderly, assisted living and my favorite is home care. I have worked all kinds of shifts. I'm reliable and trustworthy. Thanks in advance. I get along well with people. I'm a very compassionate person. I like to make people laugh. I always go above and beyond of what is asked for. 2 families I have been with for 2 and a half years now!! There are caregivers and there is caregivers with a heart. I consider I'm the second one. I become a Caregiver to help better the clients life's and their families as much as I can. I like being a caregiver cause I do get to help people on a one on one approach , it makes me feel as is I'm making a difference.
