I'm responsible, reliable, good listener , loving ,caring person and most of all patience. My experience in hospitality industry lead me to this work, where I was able to help and volunteer to a group of seniors who come and eat in our restaurant. The part I enjoy most is listening to their story especially if their trying hard to remember and try to help them through it. Personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I m able to use my experience to the most people who need it.

For the past 3 years I've been a caregiver for my neighbor's dad (he's 97), I was his morning caregiver (he had round the clock caregiving), I fed him breakfast and lunch, took him to church / bingo every Monday, we did his errands during the week and Fridays we did the library. My name is Catherine Wayero. I grew up as an only girl child amongst 3 brothers. I love associating with people who bring growth into my life and who challenge me on doing better in the community we live in. When I was growing up, I would watch soccer with my siblings every weekends and we used to play soccer in the yard. I joined my high school soccer team ( Bethany High school) .I have loved it ever since. Besides soccer, I love sky diving, traveling ,and indoor games. I developed the love for taking care of people in need because in 2018 my best friend had a car accident that disabled her . She became disabled and bed ridden so I offered to take care of her during hard times, unfortunately she passed on, may her soul Rest In Peace. Later I ventured into the caregiving field and so far I have loved working in this field. I have grown in my confidence, compassion, experience, dependability, trustworthiness and patience when dealing with my clients I take care of. I enjoy making a difference each day of my life and spreading love and support to those who need it. My personal achievements that am very proud of is having a natural passion for helping others, willingness to listen to my clients, great interpretation and communication skills with my clients and confidence in the care I provide.

I have tremendous empathy, patience and respect for each client. I treat each one as I do my father, whom I have been caring for the last 7years.Before caregiving, I managed restaurants for 23 years. I have ALWAYS been a customer service focused person. I wanted to make a change that fulfilled my heart. The thing I enjoy most about my job is assisting people with retaining their independence and self respect, even with a disability. Everyone needs to feel productive, like they contribute. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is that in the last year I have gotten my dad into the best mental, nutritional health that he has been in in the last 30 years.
