My name is Tammie i want to be the person who put a smile on your family members face knowing that he /she is being takeing care of very well I want to be that one that makes them feel the best that I can to feel good every day. That alone made me happy to go to work every day. I have been in the care giving business for over ten years. I am very dependable, a team player, self-motivated, loyal, a quick learner, honest, organized and I am very dedicated to what my patient and family needs and wants. I don't look at this as a job I take caring for my patients as a passion. I enjoy what I do and I am thankful every day for the opportunity to provide this kind of care to someone's loved one who struggles to care for them self. When I was in high school my grandparents became the primary caregivers for my great-grandmother. At first it was not to large of a task to care for my grandmother but eventually we all needed to step in and do our part to aid in her care. Being only 16 years old naturally I was very nervous and skeptical about some of the things I would need to do but I loved my grandmother very much and knew she needed me most in those moments. Aiding in the care of my grandmother is the reason I chose to work in this field. The reward I receive from my job is seeing the joy in my client's knowing they are being cared for with dignity and respect. One thing I am very proud of myself for is being able to see beyond a person's basic need and being able to form a bond with each and every person I come in contact with. I believe I am an excellent caregiver because I am compassionate, patient, trustworthy, reliable and most importantly I take the time to listen.
