The reward of being a caregiver is priceless and my passion of caring for others comes from experience. One of my fondest memories is being in the kitchen with my Aunt, we love to cook together. It was everything I looked forward to after a long day at school or work. Then her symptoms of arthritis worsened and she was no longer able to do what she loved on her own. Helping my Aunt and others like her that are going through their process is the reason I am a caregiver today. It allows me to care for others in the same way I would want my family members to be treated.

I been caregiver since 2011 till I got the certificate as a Certified nursing assistant to medical assistant now on going to vocational nursing assistant. It's my passion to take care elderly because I feel it they are my family as my grandmother. I'm already 6 years working at skilled nursing at Oakland , I am working at general hospital at psychiatric emergency, it's nice to have a experience to work in that place because you'll see the what going on in that environment. I become a caregiver when i started working as part time and i realized, how big impact my rules for the elderly who's in need of our care. I like what i am doing since then and Im so proud of what I accomplished each time I finished my shift. I became a caregiver because I have a passion with providing care to those individuals who need assistant with staying in the comfort of their home safely. I enjoy being apart of a team who promote clients to reach their highest level of independence. After, discovering I really enjoyed the kind of work that I do I went back to school and pursued my CNA/HHA and Acute Care license. I have five years of experience as a PCA, My first encounter was taking care of a stroke client.
