I have been a care giver for over 15 years. I started with my mother. Friends later started requesting my care. I love being the companion to our sick, retired and elderly family members. It is rewarding.

Well I went to school for Certified Nurse Assistant in 2005, graduated March 2006. I've been Certified now for 9 years I have ongoing Continuing Education (CE) . I'm also a Certified Direct Support Professional (DSP) for 6 years caring for people with developmental and behavior problems and many more .

Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. Safety first always, compassion, dignity, privacy, respect and hope are all important attribute's that I find essential to good nursing care. It is a meaningful gratifying experience to know that I can add to someone's life and possibility bring goodness when health issues can be a challenge and so often depressing. Good nursing requires being completely present while in someone's home or in a facility. My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Using Mama or Papa and other terms of endearment are not appropriate for me personally in professional healthcare. My name is Diana and I been in health care for about 7 years now ,I currently enrolled in school taking some classes at a time to become a nurse, I enjoy helping other and if I can make any changes to help other and make life easier I would . I am bilingual and through the years in health care I noticed a big difference when I can help out and comunicate with other in need .
