I am an LVN with 11 years experience in the medical field specializing in geriatrics.

I want to be a care giver because I enjoy helping people. I'm in school to be a nurse so when we go to clinical I enjoy helping the patients in every way I can. I work at a rehabilitation center as an activities assistant and enjoy spending time with the patients and helping with the little things i can help with. As a caregiver I'll be able to help more and one on one with someone instead of going from room to room.

I come from a caregiver background, my mother and grandmother were both nurses. I absolutely love being able to help and to restore calm and peace to those who are in need. I started my nursing career at the age of 16 as a CNA, then I became a medical assistant, after that I achieved my LVN. I currently work as a home health nurse. I have experience working with Alzheimer and Dementia patients. I am looking to further my education and to obtain an RN degree in the near future.

I started as a temporary caregiver before I went to LVN school. I was hired for companionship. When I started working, I never thought that even just for companionship, I can make a difference. My client lives alone. Every time I'm with my client, I felt happy because I was part of my client life. My client started smiling and showed happiness. In a short time I was with my client, we created a bond to each other. We go to the gym together and even to grocery store. I had a great experienced with my first caregiving job. After I graduated from my LVN school, I work with a physician who is a medical director to both home health and hospice. I went to see patients with him to client's home and I was blessed to be part of his ministry. Even though I was not part of any of his patients everyday life, I was blessed enough be there for them in a little time. Even for just a day, I got to know a lot of things about my clients.
