I became a great caregiver due to my patients, I am a good listener, I learn by observing what my client may need or want. I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I started housekeeping at a hosptial and I wanted to work my way up from there. Smiles and laughter of a client is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. When they know you are there to put their safety and needs first. My personal achievement I am proud of is going to Psych Tech school that help me gain more knowledge and understanding of human behavior and disorders.

At that moment, I am the only person in the world who knows how to best take care of my parents. I know their medical needs, their day-to-day care routine, their little habits, and what they like and don't like. I didn't feel prepared when I first became a caregiver, but with the support of my family, doctors, and social workers I made it through.
