Hi my name is Rachel Molina from the Philippines, I'm a BS Nursing graduate and I'm also RN, I started to work as a Caregiver year 2014 up to present, I took care of my clients that I handle with care, respect and dignity and I gave my strength and concern to all my clients.

I became a caregiver in August 2009 for my father, Brian. After a series of tests my father was diagnosed with early - stage of cancer. I have always taken care of my father because my mother was never around to provide support to the family. His condition is still in the early stages, but I am worried about the future. This situation brought my father and I closer. His condition has made me realize that this is career move that I wanted to peruse. I am not a caregiver by career but by choice. I am a caregiver that truly cares about helping others and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. I am caring, punctual, respectful, outgoing, honest, patient, professional and organized.

I'm a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). I'm a good nature, compassionate, very caring to people and natural in caregiving, I have 12 hours certification on Caregiver Core, and 11hours certification on Mental Health, and I'm currently still finishing up my 23 hours online class with dementia care certifications. As a young kid at 11 years old, I help take of my aunts mom who had Alzheimer's, took care of my sick brother who was in and out of hospital for 3 months. Later in my life when I got here I got here in the bus by 2008 I took care of my mother who just a had stroke she bed bound for over a year, I was 24 hours caregiver, she recovered from in the middle of 2010, and then early 2012 she was diagnosed of stage 4 lung cancer, I took care of until she past away four months later. After she past then I became my father in-laws primary caregiver as o have been already during the time my mother in-law is sick. My father in-law suffers from deabetes type 2, and dementia was there for him from the beginning until the end stage of dementia and eventually until he past away on June, 2015- I discover since I was young that I love caring for people I love to make people happy,...I know that caregiving is gift that I was born with, I know that this is hard job for a lot people if it's not nature to take on big responsibility. I take that responsibility seriously just like I would care for my own family.

I love what I do! I love making a difference in someone's life - if I can make them laugh or smile then I've done my job! If I can get my clients out of the house for shopping, appointments or even lunch then I'm helping them help me! I love making new friends & having everlasting friendships with my clients and their families! For the past 3 years I've been a caregiver for my neighbor's dad (he's 97), I was his morning caregiver (he had round the clock caregiving), I fed him breakfast and lunch, took him to church / bingo every Monday, we did his errands during the week and Fridays we did the library. I really love my job as a caregiver!

Over 20 years of experience is what I have, and great skills come along with these 20 years. I have attended school for my certificate as a CNA private Nurse and attended college for a degree in Child Development and Psychology. I treat my clients as if they are family and I am a gentle, warm soul. I am caring, punctual, and retain many different conditions well either if it's treating or knowing the effects. I currently have two different clients and I love them dearly, and I have been with them for 5 months now. I am adept in cleaning, cooking, washing, bathing, hoyer lift, bedridden clients, driving clients to appointments, etc. I love getting to know my clients and make them feel as comfortable and putting their trust in me as much as possible. I love taking my clients out and having a great time with them for breakfast or lunch if they want to. I am reliable and free-spirited and treat the elderly with much do respect. I'm educated, and have my degree in psychology, and child development , I am also very witty, and full of life and harmony. I am currently RCFE certified with a 7 years experience as a health care provider. (Certified with California Department of Social Services) My experience includes work with elderly suffering from Parkinson's, dementia, Alzheimer's, sleep apnea, restless feet syndrome, anxiety, ALS, mental heath, individuals with co occurring mental illness such as bipolar, depression, schizophrenia just to mention a few. I became a caregiver since 2005 and was laid off as a program assistant in a Senior Facility I love to work with seniors and passionate about caring for them because I found them helpless but I have learned so many things through their life experiences and I considered working and helping Seniors as a personal achievement that I am proud of. I am compassionate, reliable, honest, patient and respectful. I am proud to say that I have a quality of a good caregiver since I was the one who took care of my ailing mother before she passed away. I have a heart for Seniors who needs help and care.

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being with my clients and learning from them such as their likes or stories. How they meet their spouse, life lessons, or simply talking to them of places they have traveled. I enjoy when I cook and they approve of my meals which means I can be a good cook. Being a caregiver has filled my life purpose and satisfaction of knowing I am doing something for my community. A personal achievement I'm most proud is raising my son while going to school and working a full time job. It is the hardest thing I have ever done but it's the most rewarding.

I enjoy working with people and enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I am extremely friendly and have established long term relationships with several clients in the past. I'm exceptionally trustworthy, patient, reliable, and understanding. I treat my clients the way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care. I love working with elderly and treat them as if they are part of my family. I like to help them with whatever they need, and keep them company. I'm originally from the Philippines, I've been in the United States for eleven years, and I'm proud to be a U.S. citizen. I'm married and we have four children, two older daughters, and two sons at home.
