I like being able to help other to live in their homes as long as they can, with assistance. I studied Family Consumer Education at San Joaquin Delta College, and got my ECE certification their. I have my CNA/ HHA Certification also. Available 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
It all started with my first nanny job. I was 19 a young mother of 1 and introduced to a family who I still work pt for 16 years later. There were gaps in my employment with them due to changes in all our lives over the years. In the first break I started working as a caregiver in a care home. After a few months I came to the conclusion it just wasn't the environment for me. I tried a few other jobs but I was always drawn to help people. In 2009 I became my grandmother's ft In home caregiver. I then realized others needed help in their homes also. At some points I had 3-4 clients throughout the day. I have done it all...cooking, cleaning, shopping, transportation, errands, appointments, I can even mow the lawn if needed. I have worked my schedule to care for kids early morning hours providing care and transportation. I usually work late mornings and afternoons with seniors. I am honest, reliable, and trustworthy. I care for all my clients as if they were my own family.
1, My great grandmother was an apartment and hotel manager who took care of a lady that lived there named Ms Costallo for many many years, when I was 5 Ms Costallo family placed her in a home. I went with my Gram Gram to see Ms Costsilo and there was a elderly lady in the hall her skin was so dry it look like fish scales I asked my Gram gram for my lotion and I put lotion all over her legs ,feet, arms and hands my Gram Gram called me her little care giver I didn't like the way they treated our seniors I told my gram gram I would never let her be there I kept my promise when I was 13 she broke her hip I took care of her for 15 years untill she past away see was 100 years with alzheimer's and dementia I also stared taking care of other seniors at 16 I have been doing this for over 20 years. 2. It makes me feel good when I'm helping our seniors live independent and dignified lives in the comfort of their own home. 3. Learning to drive was a big accomplishment for me. 4. I'm a very compassionate, loving and giving person. I'm a board member of a homeless outreach we cook hot meals and give clothing under the cross town freeway every second saturday of each month, I'm over the food clothing, toys and turkey drive for our needy and homeless families for the hoildays I also am in charge of the menu and buying the food. I take my children to convalescent homes to visit with our seniors during the hoildays we bring cards and candy canes just to see our seniors happy and the look on their face is rewarding to me.
I love working with seniors. Ive worked with seniors for 14 years now. I dont have any living grandparents, so when I go for a scheduled visit Its like visiting my own grand parents. Some families live far away so knowing that their love one is being cared for is one less thing to worry about.
The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.

I initially became a caregiver when my great grand father came to live with my family when I was sixteen years old. At first it was a family duty but it quickly became a career choice. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love and enjoy helping others. It is a very satisfying as well as gratifying position to hold because you are not just assisting the patient/client with their daily living but you are also helping their families and primary caregivers as well. Taking care of an elderly or disabled family member can be a very overwhelming and stressful experience, so being allowed to help families take a well needed break from their responsibility is a very rewarding position. I began my professional career as a caregiver in 1998. I worked for several clients through the private sector before becoming employed with a home healthcare agency in 2001. During my employment there I quickly became a Senior care associate, which not only allowed me the honor and privilege of caring for patients but I was also a trainer and supervisor of other caregivers. Becoming a training/supervisor is an achievement that I am truly proud of because it proved that I was very good at my job and that I took the position very seriously. I am highly competent and very professional caring and compassionate all of the qualities that every good caregiver should possess.

I am a hardworking and compassionate individual who has had CNA training. I also have experience working in an assisted living home where I cared for residents on hospice as well as residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. I spent a great deal of time getting to know my residents and built rapport with them. The recognition and gratitude I received from my residents and their families gave me a sense of satisfaction that I was not only doing my job but I was doing it well. I look forward to hearing from you.
I have been a CNA since 2003. I worked in Dietary for a convalescent home. During my time working in dietary, I saw that our residents needed lots of support and I wanted to make a difference. I have experience as a in home care provider for a bedridden patient. I provided wound care, nourishment by G tube, required medications, and daily ADLS. I have been primary care giver for my grandfather providing daily ADLs, medicine intake, and meals. When my mother became ill, I served as her primary care taker as well. She was bedridden, so I was responsible for providing her daily meds, wound care, managed her nourishment by TPN, and provided hourly body rotations to prevent bed sores. I learned how to do wound care, how to manage KCI wound vac, and I'm familiar with mechanical lifts and sliding boards for transferring. A personal achievement I am proud of is that hospital staff would compliment me on the care I was providing my mother. They were impressed that even though she was bedridden for over a year, she never got a bed sore. I love helping our patients and building relationships with them. At times I've been told not build relationship so it doesn't get personal, but I find that the more comfortable they feel with me, the more receptive they are to my support and I can provide better care. I'm a very caring and patient person, and I want to continue helping those in need.
