I'm Tonnisha I been a caregiver for 10 years what made me want to be a caregiver was my grandma I took care of her from there in 2010 I had gotten a job at a nursing home then I had gotten another job being a caregiver going to there home. I've always had a heart for caring for others. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing I can be of help to those of need. I have 10yrs of experience in the medical field. I've started with helping my grandmother as a little girl such as brushing her hair on a daily, picking out her clothes, to then giving her, her medications. I cared for several other family members until I decided to then move on to working in a doctor's office as a medical/billing assistant which included me rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting the doctor's, submitting billing, and most importantly building friendly and trusting relationships. I'm now in the field working one on one with individual clients, being able to give my full undivided attention to make sure I care for all needs required as well as giving that security and confidence that they are in good hands.

I am a nursing student at the very end of my program. I am passionate about caring for others. I have a large family and I know the importance in family care, having someone who truly looks after a loved one is very important to me. I give it my all.

What makes me a great caregiver is my genuinely love to help and be there. I don't work this field for a paycheck. I love working this field because its who I am.
