I have compassion towards the elderly and children most especially those who are in need of help with their daily activities. My first experience as a caregiver for the elderly was when my sister and I took turns in taking care of our 83-year-old mother. Moreover, I am confident with taking care of kids because I raised my own three boys (they are all adults now). Aside from being a caregiver, I am active at our church being part of its ministry. I am a good team leader and also good at following instructions from my supervisor. I am good at organizing and I always see to it that my client's room and kitchen are clean and tidy.
I adore elderly people. I would go to elderly facilities and visit a few of the patients, sit and chat or join them in the activity of the day there. I have the best personality for carrying, I'm a very patient person, compassionate and helpful. I guess what attracted me to caregiving is my mom, plus my family is full of nurses. What I enjoy most about caring, is being a companion to my client and hearing their life stories. A personal achievement that I'm proud of, would be a client of mine telling that I was a comfort to her and that she was glad to have me around; Hearing that touched my heart.

Caregiving is not just a job to me, it's a passion. Giving care, helping a person when they mostly need it, needs a lot of patience, gentle love and care is a good stepping stone to have them feel secure and cared for. It's a natural gift I have. Being a mother of three and a daughter to a caring family is a good place to start for me to show my patience, loving , caring and nurturing personality.
Hello, my name is Iana Smith! I live in Thousand Oaks CA. I would describe myself as a positive, open-minded, but practical person. I am very caring, and one of the things I love to do is to take care of people. Growing up as the youngest, I took care of my older siblings in my little ways. Preparing them food, waking them up for school, etc. I also took care of my father before he passed away in 2010. I have been a caregiver for 7 years. As of the moment I am looking for weekend shifts preferably 8-12 hours on Sat and Sun. I have always had a passion for taking care of people. I make sure they get the care they deserve. We only live once in this lifetime, and I believe that the elderly should have a caregiver that does not only care about the job, but genuinely care for her/him as well.

Hi I'm Tess. I am from Thousand Oaks, CA. I've been a caregiver for more than 10 years. I started as a caregiver by taking care of my grandmother. And I realize that being a caregiver is a passionate job. I became a caregiver because I love taking care of elderly people because I want to put a smile on their face. My grandmother was bedridden for 2 years. She was a stroke patient. Helping her made me see I loved caregiving.

My name is Erin, and I was inspired to care for the elderly eight years ago as I witnessed my great-grandmother age. She was an amazing woman and a great influence on my life. At 92 years of age, grandma started needing intense care. We tried several skilled nursing facilities and I was appalled at the way most of them treated their patients. Grandma became a number, instead of an individual. My grandmother deserved the best care! This lead our family to look into in-home care. Shortly after my grandmother passed, I embarked on my career working with the elderly. I have been blessed to meet many wonderful people and families! As well as have many enriching experiences. I provide services that allow seniors to stay in their homes. This includes but is not limited to bathing, dressing, medicine assistance, meal preparation, dementia care, diabetes care, and transportation to and from appointments. I provide reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and am licensed and bonded. I also am state certified and first aid trained. I have an hourly rate, as well as a daily rate (24 hours).
