I got involved in care giving over 25 years ago while working for an Oncologist and seeing how families struggled to meet home health needs that some insurances didn't cover. I have experience being hands on in home and also at a care facility. I am also working volunteer for American Red Cross and registered with the state which means I have been back ground checked. I have experience working with memory care and hospice. My goal is to deliver superior service, dependability and compassion for those in need. It is my mission to bring a special energy and positive attitude to each relationship I am blessed to be a part of.I want to provide peace of mind and trust to the family and friends that their loved one is receiving the love and dignity they deserve. My greatest achievement has been caring for my own father this last year who passed from stage 4 pancreatic cancer. he was on hospice and we were able to keep him at home. Hi there! My name is Avery, I am currently 22 years old and currently live in California. I am moving to beautiful San Antonio in a few short months. I have been involved in the medical field long before I started my schooling. I have received certifications for CNA, HHA, and CMA care. Although I cannot transfer my CNA and HHA credentials when I move I still have the necessary training and experience most others do not. I advocate for others as I do for myself because the medical field can be exhaustingly confusing. I'm currently in school just a a few months away from finishing my associates of arts degree in the goal of becoming a social worker. My main focus of medical interest/concern is mental health/illness, disabilities, autoimmune disorders, and neurological disorders. I have an autistic sister whom I cared for growing up, I have volunteered in a "special games" at my high school, and I have treated patients with dementia and someone recovering from a stroke. I can cook multiple dishes and I'm always willing to learn more, I know a little bit about gardening even. I would love to share my skills and help those who need it!

I became a caregiver because I've always had a helping and giving heart. I really enjoy caregiving because I live to help those that need the help I'm also a medical assistant so I love to help others. I'm the most proud of making a difference in Someone's life and I feel caregiver has allowed me to do this.
