I'm a responsible, punctual, and serious person in regards to my work, and very compassionate;I became a caregiver after I volunteered to help a elderly woman and I felt very happy to be able to do something for someone who really needs help ,working to help the needed gives me satisfaction knowing that I made a difference in someone's life; I'm proud of myself after having worked with my clients and seeing what their recommendations say about me
I am very compassionate about helping the elderly . It brings me joy to help others. I started being a caregiver when I was 18 years old since then I've been a caregiver and have had experience with all types of Dementia's and Alzheimer's along with Parkinson's Disease. Also working with a special needs children.
Caring, loving, dependability, patience, compassion, attentiveness, and trustworthiness. I enjoy working with people that need help. Helping and taking care of them attracted me to being a caregiver. Providing care to people, who can't look after themselves, while maintaining their dignity, is an accomplishment in itself.
Hi my name is Ana Espinoza I been a care giver about 7 years already I worked for IHSS When I was young and what made me go back to care giving was I like making them smile making them have a nice day I have 2 children and I work as a house keeper too on my days off I'm loving confident on what I have to do with my clients friendly and caring .in what I'm proud of is that on there last days of one of my client was peaceful no pain and had all my attention got a lot of love from his family members that I know I did a great job
Let me tell you a little bit about myself, I love doing my job at Doctors on Duty. I love the enthusiasm in which some patients come in and joke around with me. I once had a patient that I'm never going to forget, she was a disabled 50 year old woman she was so friendly and had the mind of a 12 year old but she always kept a smile on her face. She came in and needed her flu shot. Once she saw me with the needle she starting moving a lot not wanting to get her shot. I made a distraction for her by speaking to her but once I was done she told me "i'm going to get you back" it was the funniest experience of my life. That opened my mind to how patients are vulnerable and we need to care for them as people not only as an every other day patient. My job as a Medical Assistant is to build a relationship with my patients and care for them as I would for a family member of my own. I believe in the ability of helping others and that is why I decided to be a caregiver.

Hi, My yoga teacher name, since 1990, is Shankari. I no longer teach yoga, but can teach an interested person. I have 17 years experience as a Physical Therapist and am going back to work after being retired for awhile, and my P.T. license has lapsed. I have also worked as a Stress Management Specialist for the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease Without Drugs or Surgery, teaching yoga and meditation twice per day at week-long retreats in Berkeley, CA. I also took care of my 95 year old, frail, elderly mother who was completely incontinent and wheelchair bound for 9 months in 2015. I am seeking a companion job with a developmentally disabled person, not a hands-on caregiver job. I would enjoy assisting an ambulatory adult or child with activities of daily living, going on outings, and playing games. I am currently working for the Homeless Garden Project, an amazing organization that employs, trains, and helps find housing for homeless people in the Santa Cruz area. I have a cute little 8 pound maltipoo doggie, very well-behaved, who is also available for fun and emotional support.

The most reason I become a Caregiver, because I grow up with my grandma, as part of our culture and custom, living in extended family. I get use to their personal needs and learn a lot from their knowledge and wisdom, which now a days new generation despise their precise deep experience in life. I'm proud to be a caregiver because its in my blood, living together with elderly under one roof. I do respect and adore them. I worked as a caregiver for more than 15yrs. I can do most of everything like bathing, cleaning, hair done, medication, transferring, use hoyer lift and much more. I took care a wonderful elderly lady she was 113 years young. She passed away on the 29th of July 2015. I believe she is the oldest person in the Monterey Peninsula. I have the most experience from this gorgeous lovely lady.
I became a caregiver because of 2 main reasons. 1st is I believe that being a caregiver brings spiritual treasures that will not spoil or be taken away. As a hospice aid for 7 years I realized that we or our spirit belongs to a place where we will no longer suffer. 2nd I always pray for my time when my body also become old and fragile. When that time comes I will also like to be treated the same way I treated my client, with respect, compassion and care. The thing I like about caregiver is the joy that I get after the client passes away and hear from family and friends that I have done a good job. The personal achievement that I can say was from my last case with a couple in Los Altos where the husband died. I was live-in for five days and at the final days of the client I remained with him all night and called the children early in the morning to come and say their final respect to their Father. And surely it was his last day and the children was so appreciative of it. Just a quote from his recommendation letter "It is my absolute pleasure to write this recommendation letter. Raul is a consummate professional and a kind, loving, attentive and compassionate caregiver. He is worthy of my unconditional praise, resulting from the outstanding service Raul provided our family during the time of need" "The bond of friendship Raul engendered became so rich that Dad missed him terribly on Raul's days off with his own family. He would light up upon Raul's return Dad confided freely"
I became a caregiver because compassion and the value of human connections come natural to me. It is a great thing to make a positive difference in someone's life. Some of the best things about being a caregiver are the people that I get to meet and bond with. Being able to earn a living in a home environment holds core values to me and enriches my life. Some of my personal achievements are my skill at playing piano, and organizing and funding my own trip to Egypt for 2 months. I am Certified for First Aid/CPR/AED, and am currently enrolled in college to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I plan to further this education after graduating in March 2015 to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Personally, I was raised in the country on an animal farm. I love nature and the outdoors, respecting all living things and the ecosystem we all contribute to. I am very deeply rooted in where I come from. My values of living in voluntary simplicity help to keep me open, understanding, and curious. I believe I make a difference in this world by simply existing to touch the lives of others in a positive way. Some of my core values are friendship, creativity, self-respect, science, and music. I look forward to providing you with great companionship and care.
