Since I was a child, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to help those with disabilities live happier, healthier lives. I think helping other people affects the local community positively, so I'd feel honored to accept such a vital role. I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'd like to increase the amount of care the elderly population receives. As I learned through my previous health care experience, this population often benefits from caregivers who provide companionship and who pay attention to detail. This can help improve the daily lives of this population. I'd love to be a part of that effort through this position and help improve the kind of care this group receives

I started doing caregiving in 2006 working for IHSS. I stayed with them until 2011. I loved the one on one with the client's. I have worked in facilities but didn't like that people weren't always getting the best care from all of the caregivers. I been doing private homes for a lot of years since. I love what I do and I am very grateful to do it. I have a lot of patience and compassion for my clients and there families. I try to give them the best care that they deserve. I do currently work part time for Cross Country Workforce doing Caregiving.

We can support them emotionally and spiritually as well. I love how my position as a caregiver allows me to choose a schedule that helps me to continue with my college education. I've always had a heart for caring for others. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing I can be of help to those of need. I have 10yrs of experience in the medical field. I've started with helping my grandmother as a little girl such as brushing her hair on a daily, picking out her clothes, to then giving her, her medications. I cared for several other family members until I decided to then move on to working in a doctor's office as a medical/billing assistant which included me rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting the doctor's, submitting billing, and most importantly building friendly and trusting relationships. I'm now in the field working one on one with individual clients, being able to give my full undivided attention to make sure I care for all needs required as well as giving that security and confidence that they are in good hands.
