I am energetic and very social. I know that my compassion will make me a great caregiver because I believe that caregiving is not only about working for the person but making them feel safe and loved. What attracted me to be a caregiver was seeing my kind hearted mom help the elderly as a CNA. She does it with so much joy and that has inspired me. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can get to know my patient and their story and inherit their life experience, stories, and wisdom. A personal achievement that I am proud of is when my patient and I formed a wonderful bond. My patient felt like a grandfather to me, and until his passing we enjoyed life together. He taught me about his love life, his single life, and about his love for sweets. I am truly honored to be given the opportunity to meet amazing people and help them.

I can say I am a good caregiver because I love what I do. I want helping other individual and giving the best care I can share them. My profession and being a caregiver molded me to be a strong person and love the work I do even in times of heavy and strenuous workload. I can give you testimonies and documents about the cases I handled. Let other discover who you are.. As I mention earlier I like to be a caregiver because I touch lives of people, especially the elders 100 percent I can make them feel that even in their last stage of life there are still people who can let them feel that they are important. The greatest achievement I have was able to send my daughter to a good school because of caregiving. Even though our work is tiring at the end of the day a client will tell you and will say....'THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING YOU MADE ME COMPLETE. For me this are acievements. Care giving is something i choose to do out of passion, and dream I had about helping older people, just like i love taking care of children too. because I always pray to live longer and old ,so I started by trying to help volunteering weekly because am in to filmmaking, singing and dancing which Is also one of my passion ,but The job comes once a while before i decided to make it a full time job due to my experience with older people, and people with special needs .So what made me a better caregiver is because I care for my clients like they are my own parents and family in a special way.My believe as a caregiver is you need first to love people as you love yourself, then put yourself in their shoes and feel their pains then you will know how it feels that they need more time and care ..

I am from the island so I grew up caring for my grandparents and younger siblings. So it's what I have been doing and use to doing now that I am an adult I do still help to care for my parents grandparents and also my own kids it's in me I do have patience and I love caring for anyone that needs the help just makes me feel good knowing they need my help. I started working caregiver when my mom and aunties would need a reliver someone to cover for there private caregiver jobs so I would fill in for hours or a day or even live in for few days as we all know it's a hard thing to do dedicating ur time and help when u have ur own families so it does take a village like they say u can't do it alone. Than I got my own private caregiver job I started working only weekends live this client had a colostomy bag also dementia and Alzheimer's so she really need the care around the clock I would help with her meals medication reminders also driving her to appointments and doing groceries for her and light house keeping I worked for this one client for 14 years straight it went from only weekends adding the week nights to the whole 24 hour 7 days a week. I would get my mom and cousins to relieve me when I would go on vacation or have time off but I was the main caregiver. I do still keep in contact with the family for reference cause it's hard to find private caregiver jobs.
