I have been involved with caring for seniors over the past 12 years. This began simply as a way of lending a hand as needed to those in my neighborhood. Discovering my natural affinity in skillful and compassionate care, I offered my time and services where it developed into part-time work. In February 2016, an opportunity presented itself through the American Red Cross Nursing Assistant Training Program where I obtained necessary training to complete the course with honors, graduating as a Nursing Assistant with First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. I have a great deal of respect for our elderly and those who are in need of convalescent care who simply wish to stay in their own homes as independently as possible. I wish to provide my experience, encouragement and support for dignified care. My availability for part-time work is as follows: Mon, Wed, Thurs, & Fri - AM hours only up to 1 or 1:30pm. Thank you for your consideration!
I am a very loving and very patient person and those traits alone allows me to be successful in this career field. My grandmother help me become attracted to the caregiving. I helped her along the way with her illness. I enjoy the independence and one-on-one with clients . One personal achievement I have had was with a stranger that was involved in an accident. I held the hand of a dying older women so that she would not be alone.

My name is Judith. I'm a CNA since 2014 and a caregiver since 2012. I first wanted to be a doctor but changed my mind and I'm now trying to be a nurse and in the meantime I'm gaining experience in the field. I like being a caregiver because I serve people while making a big difference in their life. I help people who really can't help themselves and knowing that makes me feel fulfilled. I'm really proud of how much I've learned in a short period of time. I 've learned a lot from everyone around me: colleagues, nurses, families, patients, etc.
I had been doing caregiving since I was in high school .... Before it was to make both ends meet but now it is more of a passion and fulfillment on my part to take care of people and make them happy. Meeting different lifestyles and learning different cultures from all walks of life is exciting and makes life interesting for me. From a Ceritified Nursing Assistant, I made all my way up to become a Certified Phlebotomist and a Certified Medical Assistant. I know I can make people's lives happy in their daily undertaking...may it be the young generation and the elderly.
I became a caregiver because the profession I wanted to become is to be a nurse. I am a great caregiver because I am a compassionate and kind person. I give my more than 100 % excellent care with my clients and they can feel my sincerity and warmth caring for them. Their family have assurance that their loved one's are in good hands when they leave. Working in a hospital setting with different culture diversity, I have learned to know what they need and respect their culture. The patients that I have taken care of loved me for they know that once I am on duty they know that they would be happy and satisfied with their care. I learned how to handle different temperament of elderlies, some are difficult but with good communication skills and explaining to them that the care I am giving them is for their own good and to get a positive result. Being recognized and commended by my co-workers, superiors and families of my patients of how great I worked is rewarding that motivates me more to deliver excellence of what I do. I was awarded as employee of the month in our unit. I am a very caring person and can easily get along with co-workers, patients and their families. Hardworking individual and can get the task done in a timely manner with positive result. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills, very good in following instructions and delivers excellent service.
1. I became a caregiver through the inspiration of my late mother. She was in a vegetative state for almost 2 yrs. due to massive stroke. Reinvented myself from working in the corporate world (banking) to moving in the healthcare field. It's a different experience where one found joy and accomplishment working with the elderly. My salary rate is negotiable depending on client's needs. 2. Being a caregiver is very personal to me.. My focus is always to deal with the well-being & safety of my client. 3. Being a caregiver entails a lot of patience, compassion and experience to be able to understand every client's specific needs. . I try to keep a balance of everything I do to maintain my physical and psychological well-being. 4. I consider myself as energetic, strong-willed and resourceful. In my former job I was the lead CNA supervising 3 caregivers working 12 hrs. shift 24/7 in our client's own home. My relationship with my client & the family I've worked with has been very pleasant. Blessed to work with families that trust my work ethics and the care I provide for their loved ones.
