I became a caregiver since 2005 and was laid off as a program assistant in a Senior Facility I love to work with seniors and passionate about caring for them because I found them helpless but I have learned so many things through their life experiences and I considered working and helping Seniors as a personal achievement that I am proud of. I became a caregiver in August 2009 for my father, Brian. After a series of tests my father was diagnosed with early - stage of cancer. I have always taken care of my father because my mother was never around to provide support to the family. His condition is still in the early stages, but I am worried about the future. This situation brought my father and I closer. His condition has made me realize that this is career move that I wanted to peruse. I am not a caregiver by career but by choice.
