I'm very patient and out going. I treat my clients like they were family. I want the best for them. I like to communicate and get to know them. I like to make them feel comfortable with me. I took care of my dad for 2 yrs who was ill with dementia, alzheimers, chromes and diabetes. He has recently passed in july 2019. I knew by taking care of him, it was my calling to be a caregiver because I want to take care of people that need help. I love being a caregiver and knowing at the end of the day that I have helped someone and made there day happy and at ease. Meeting new people. Knowing that I have done a good deed. I love working with clients and they tell me how much they appreciate me and thank me very much for being there and helping them. That just melts my heart to hear those words. Because I know that I have done my job to there standards. I have a client who is deaf. She was eating breakfast that a friend made for her and she started choking. I immediately started the procedure to dislodged whatever she was choking in. I couldn't get it dislodged so I called 911. Later I got a call from my company that she called them and wanted to let them know that I saved her life and was very thankful for me. For that I received an angel pin for saving her life

What makes me a great caregiver? I'm very caring, I love helping people, I'm always honest I'm very friendly. Why did I become a caregiver? At 1st wasn't for me but I have cared for my Grandmother in the pass and other friends and relatives. I needed to make income so I can provide for my son. After a while taking care of this elderly she grew on me. We are best buds and she tells people that I'm her adopted Granddaughter. I love working with people and doing all that I can to give them the best needs that they can't do for themselves. What do I enjoy most about being a caregiver? Cleaning, I'm OCD and I love cleaning and I love getting to know the person and spending quality time with them. What is a personal achievement I'm proud of? I don't have any achievements but am trying to get my G.E.D so I can go to pastry school or Cosmetology school
