I enjoy caring for seniors I think because my father had 12 siblings and he married late in life so as a child I was surrounded by older aunts & uncles and they always made me feel loved and safe. I cared for both parents until their deaths and now I've been in business for myself for 4 years. Hello I am Erica Ledford I am 34 years old have two daughters. I have worked at sunrise assisted living as a dietician .I worked for the following companys trusted ally home Health care and coming full circle as well as certified nurse staffing I did anything from meals home cleaning exercising with client changing clients colostomy bags changing, medication reminders breathing treatments equipment tube changing as well as up keep on equipment assisted with dressing bathing even sponge baths if bed written, grocery shopping scheduling appointments for doctor visits etc have used Hoover or wsdte belts to move clients if mobility is limited .I just find the only hard part of this job is not to emotionally get attached and hurt if anything may accure as far as passing away. I have a big heart and feel amazing to be there to help or comfort another person.
