After my grandmother got out the hospital she needed a caregiver. So I offered to help my grandmother with her basic needs around the house . I been taking care of her for a year before she passed away . That made me want to get into the medical field and start helping others like her . I've now been a CNA for six years and I can honestly say I love what I do .

I'm a great caregiver because I like to help others. And to be a great caregiver you need to have patience. I'm a respectful person honest and loving. I'm a loyal person I'm one of the best in the field.

I have been a certified CNA and Caregiver for 17 years. I earned my High School Diploma in 2006 and also went to Goodwin College; majoring in Human Services with a GPA of 3.59. I am also CPR, First Aid and meds certified. I love and enjoy working with the elderly and not so elderly. I enjoy listening to their stories and wisdom and their understanding. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated. I also have respect for everyone's culture, religion and sexual orientation. I also treat people with kindness, respect and dignity.

What makes me a great caregiver is the fact I always put my client needs before anyone I always go the extra mile I feel doing a little extra is what counts. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is my family my sister and mom are nurses as well as my brother who's a neonatal nurse I've been destined for the healthcare field What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the compassion I have the drive I give and the feeling of becoming an even better person everyday. A personal achievement I have accomplished while being a caregiver is getting requested by family to care for their loved ones again also having my clients family know they're in good hands I'm constantly getting recognized for my good

I feel I am a great caregiver because I care about the person as a whole and do not treat them as an object. Also, in almost 25 years I have a wide variety of experiences in a variety of settings. I have taken care of all age groups and have enjoyed all of it for various reasons. I began 5 years after my mother had passed and I had assisted in her care. My training began after leaving the printing industry. Now, I have come to a pinnacle and am attempting nursing school.

My level of expertise is like no other; Effortlessly, I always go above and beyond for my clients. Ever since the age of five years old when my Mom asked me what I wanted to become and my answer was "Mom, I want to be a Doctor because I want to take care of old people and I love them" and of course she laughed. Years later I ended up in numerous occupations, but at the end I found my way back to nursing (smile)- Need I say more? It gives me great pleasure to listen to the elderly. Moreover, their stories are precious and rare each unique experience that "cannot" be replaced (priceless commodity) and most importantly the joy and knowledge it gives me deep within (humbled). Looking back on all my choices I can honestly say that I have no regrets; Especially, since it has mold my life and made me who I am today. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed. In conclusion, I love what I do and work for me is (never) work since my passion is caring for the elderly (smile)-

As an experienced caregiver, I am able to give the best of me to my clients. I have experience with infants, young and elderly with all type of conditions. I am able to come up with some ideas that fit my clients needs and make them comfortable. Most clients appreciate my personality and character. I like when I get feedback from clients and management because it helps me improve my performance and service.
