My name is Nokwanda but I go mostly by my nickname Noks. I have 5+ years experience working as a caregiver.I started caregiving for my grandmother when she got sick and never stopped caring for the elderly. Some of the duties that I have performed during my caregiving career are:Bed bath,feeding,checking vitals,giving medication,daily exercise,light housekeeping Hoyer lifting and running errands. I have just completed taking a CNA class and my future goal is to be a Nurse.

I have been a certified CNA and Caregiver for 17 years. I earned my High School Diploma in 2006 and also went to Goodwin College; majoring in Human Services with a GPA of 3.59. I am also CPR, First Aid and meds certified. I love and enjoy working with the elderly and not so elderly. I enjoy listening to their stories and wisdom and their understanding. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated. I also have respect for everyone's culture, religion and sexual orientation. I also treat people with kindness, respect and dignity.

I believe that my expertise is treating each one of the clients as how i would want to be treated with respect and to know that they matter. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my great grand mother who live until she was 100 years old. Caring for people, i love it when i can see a smile. Moreover, their stories are precious and rare each unique experience that "cannot" be replaced (priceless commodity) and most importantly the joy and knowledge it gives me deep within (humbled). Looking back on all my choices I can honestly say that I have no regrets; Especially, since it has mold my life and made me who I am today. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed. In conclusion, I love what I do and work for me is (never) work since my passion is caring for the elderly (smile)-
