Health Caregiver / CNA Inspired by taking care of my parents at home until they passed . My mother passed 6 years ago and recently my father .2 years after losing my mother. I have a great personality especially around the elderly !My passion is helping others in there daily routines in order for them to be independent in there own surroundings to feel safe in there own home is part of there wellness. I have over 10 years experience. I worked with one client 10 years.I enjoy helping seniors, so they can stay in their home. Seniors have so much experiences and stories to share. I took the CNA training so that I could be able to help my parents as they got older. After the training, I found that I enjoyed it, and started working for pay. I started out helping someone, who recently had hip-replacement. Later I helped this same client through recovery from open-heart surgery. This client had no family, so I went to the hospital to check on them. I coordinated their needs at the nursing home and at home. I am dependable, trustworthy, punctual, caring, and loving. One of my passions is gardening and cooking, I enjoy sharing my talents with my clients. As I worked with clients, they shared with their friends and family how I was. As time went by, I got additional jobs, and even had clients on a waiting list for my help.

I was a nurse for over 15 years in a hospital setting, but have not been practicing for many years. I stayed home to raise my children. When they were older, I began my career as a private in-home caregiver working for over 10 years with stroke survivors. Most recently, my husband and I worked with at-risk youth running a home of six boys in foster care. I love people of all ages, but especially seniors. I've had many years of experience interacting with people in a variety of settings, utilizing many skills. I can help with transportation services and home care and any activities of daily living or just be a companion to those who need a friend. I love cooking, crafts and hobbies and enjoy encouraging others.
