Hi my name is Danielle Jones , What makes me a great caregiver is that I am passionate in my work I love what I do which is being able to help people and making someone smile. Also I'm outgoing , hard worker and reliable. What made me become a caregiver was when I was younger my dad took care of my grandfather and I used to help out it was nice being able to help him and keep him going while he was here. What I like about being a caregiver is that I'm able to help some but also it benefits me as well , who wouldn't want to get paid doing something they love lol . My name is Rhoda and I'm from Coralville, Iowa. I am currently a third year psychology major at FAMU and I love working in patient care. I believe that I would be a good fit for any caregiving positions because I have some previous experience such as basic life support training and nurse aide certification. I am currently certified to give first aid, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and use the automated external defibrillator, and I plan to stay certified. I am very passionate about working in the medical field and I have started to take important steps that will familiarize me with this career field. I possess great communication, team-working, and time management skills. I have discipline myself to take initiative, lead by example, and keep a professional bearing. I started my nursing career at 22 years old. I was a kid when I started, but I was a kid with a different type of soul and I knew it. It was almost scary being that age and full of love and knowledge. Let's be honest, most kids at that age are having the time of their life. I had fun too, but it was reading and educating myself. That was my fun. I think having a sick sibling at a young age is what drew me into nursing. I was about 13 when my sister was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. Interesting enough, I would read and learn more about her disease than she did. I stuck with me. I have been a nurse a total of 22 years.

I'm a kind, caring person. Likes taking care of the elderly and disabled. As a home health aide I do for the clients what they can't do for themselves. Will keep all information about my clients confidential. I always treat others like I want to be treated,with respect and dignity.

I am very loving and caring. I love to care for ones in need. It is my pleasure to help, build a relationship and make them comfortable. The ability to be there in a time of need is so important and motivating to me.

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I enjoy helping people. I enjoy sitting and listening to people who enjoy sharing their stories with me when they were younger, or just talking about life in general. As a child I always knew that helping people was what God created me to do and I believe that everyday as I go about my day I see that this my true calling, and I believe that this is what I am suppose to do. I interact with patients all the time when they come into their appointments and there is never a dull moment. They share, and I listen because some have no one to talk to and I believe that me being that person that can talk to not only help them but also helps me to become a great listener and they thank me for that. I am very dependable and very realiable and I am vey compassionate about my work and my job. I am a very positive person and I truly believe that is what make my job easier to do because I love helping people and bring a smile to their faces.
