Hello! My name is Brittany, I have been in the nursing field for almost 10 years now providing care for a variety of patients with individualized care plans. Peers describe me as hard working, dedicated, compassionate, empathetic, kind, easy companion with a big heart. I started off in this industry taking care of my grandfather who became very ill, I volunteered in the hospital and rehab center he resided in for 4 years, I provided care for him until he passed away. He told me I needed to make nursing my career as it's what I am best at and have the heart for. With that being said this is what I love most about what I do, I love to provide companionship along with the best care provided to each resident creating a safe and healthy environment. Building relationships and treating others like they're your own family is very important in the role of a caregiver, this is how I choose to give back to the community and making them as comfortable as possible in times of need. This, I believe, is my biggest accomplishment thus far and hope to further my education in the near future.

My mother passed away 8 years ago and I took care of my father with dementia / Parkinson's disease after losing my loved ones closest to my heart I knew my passion was to take care of people needing the assurance of being at home were they feel the most comfortable in their surrounding which is their home . Being a caregiver is not just a job to me, it is my passion. I believe I am a wonderful caregiver, because I am compassionate, patient, friendly, and I am very efficient in completing the activities of daily living, and any housekeeping needs. My experience in caring from others comes from working at an agency named Right At Home, and privately caring for people. I am CPR certified, and had Home Health Aide training through my company. What makes me an outstanding caregiver is that I am very caring, compassionate, have tremendous patience, and I enjoy making a difference in someone else life. I have 25+ plus years experience in the medical field working as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Home health Aide/Medical Assistant. Currently enrolled in college completing my BA in Psychology/Social Work degree. I am employed by Life Path Hospice which has truly taught me how precious life is and the meaning of being able to care for myself and others.

Since I was a child I have loved my grandmother very much and seeing her grow old and feeling how she is losing her abilities saddened me a lot. That is why I decided to be a caregiver to help all the people who need me. I am very responsible with my work I have a lot of patience and self-control to to lead with difficult diseases that arrive in old age. I have been in the eldercare industry for 25+ years. I started working in a nursing home when I was 18. I started working in assisted living in 1984. I worked my way up to administrator and managed facilities for many years. I was also a troubleshooter for facilities who were in danger of fines with the state. My passion has always been taking care of the elderly.
