Hello my name is Tasheka Sherman and I live in Ocala, FL. I have been in the medical care field since 2005. I am CPR and First Aide certified. I am also med tech certified. I have worked at several assisted living facilities and a couple home care agencies. My last employment was at a facility just for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. I am very family oriented, so your loved one(s) will be treated, cared for and respected as if they were a part of my family. I'm honest, trustworthy and dependable. I have been a senior caregiver for 32 yrs, my services are cooking meals, house cleaning, errands, DR. Appts, daily activities, assisting with bathing/shower, assisting with getting dressed, what ever I can do to make life easier for the person who may need a little help with things that are difficult to do now. I have worked in the school district as substitute teacher for four years. Before that I worked as a private Nanny who also did home care work with other family members in the households. I have worked a lot with children with disabilities as a home care giver and as a para professional in the school district. I ran errands, planned schedules, answered phones, took kids to and from activities, and provided meals, helped with toilet training, and bath time. I have also worked with older family members which has always been enjoyable for me. I would drive them to and from where they needed to go, help with groceries, give them medication, laundry, assisted with feedings and other needed things around the house.

I'm passionate,caring,loving,with a great sense of humor and understanding especially when taking care of a elderly. I enjoy taking care of elderly. I took care of my father for over 10 years until he passed away in 2014 of the age of 100. So I know how hard and sometime difficult for a family to take care of a loved one especially when they have Alzheimer's or Dementia. I worked privately ,for comfort keeper and currently with companion care,inc. I'm a CNA with CPR. Love pets ,so no problem with home with pets.

I have worked with a variety of clients that have depression, multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and elder care. I was attracted to caregiving because I really enjoy helping others and making a difference in people's lives. I enjoy the relationships that have developed in my experience with being a CNA. I never thought that I would be able to do this type of work, and by having an open mind to try something new, I discovered that helping others is quite intuitive to me as well as extremely rewarding.
