Hello, my name is Michael and I am very passionate about being a caregiver. I am an Occupational Therapy Assistant graduate who is dependable, therapeutic, and nurturing. I am very knowledgeable and experience in caring for patients who have various ailments and disabilities. I currently provide care to special needs clients, specifically clients living with autism, cerebal palsy, ADHD, neurological disorders, and Down syndrome. I have experience in medication management, providing transportation to and from client's appointments, supervising clients in community integration, meal planning, de-escalation clients who have aggressive behaviors, bathing, grooming, mobility, improving function, and having clients engage in leisure activities. I am a great caregiver because I love caring for the elderly, helping them with the day to day things that they want to do. I am honest, reliable and love helping other people. I became a caregiver by accident, I was asked to take an elderly woman to the store once a week and it turned into 3 days a week and it lasted 8 1/2 years. It was the most fulfilling job I have ever had.

I saw how dedicated they were how thorough they were and I wanted to be able to give something back. I couldn't have done anything without these caregivers, that were there for my mom, so I became healthcare provider as well. I've been in the medical field well over 30 years but there's nothing more rewarding than being able to help people who can help themselves and being able to see them go through all the positive changes.
