I have 4 years experience in caregiving. I have worked for companies and have also done personal caregiving. I've cared for my own family members and clients that became like family. I treat each client and their family as if I've always known them and they can be comfortable with me, knowing they can trust me. I have experience in hospice care as well as dementia and alzheimer's patients. I love being a caregiver because it gives me the chance to make a difference in people's lives and help out where others can't or don't have the ability to do so. I've held many hands as they took their last breath and been there to help the family through it. My grandmother was a nursing assistant and I would always go to work with her when I was younger which sparked my interest in caring for others. Hi I am a very compassionate certified nursing assistance. I cared for my uncle over the course of 7 years who passed away with cancer and dementia. I knew then that I wanted to stay in senior care. It's so important for me to give back to our elders with patience, care, companionship. Its been wonderful to work with many patients with physical and mental impairments. I've always liked working with people. I had taken care of family members (mother,father,uncle), who have pasted on from cancer. 1. Companionship is the biggest trait to have while caregiving. I make sure they feel happy and not feel overwhelmed and uncomfortable. 2. Being able to take of someone who can't perform those duties themselves anymore. 3.Being able to connect with them on a personal level. 4.Learning all the different ways of making my patients/residents happy.
