I became a caregiver because of my mother, At the age of 10 my mother died and I couldn't do nothing to help her. So I decided to get in the medical field for that reason. I love being a caregiver because it is a passion of mine to see people smile, and live there life to the fullest. I have had a life-long passion for working with adults who are differently abled, and have a great amount of compassion and empathy for such individuals. I started volunteering as a peer counselor when I was working on my bachelor's degree, and found it to be incredibly rewarding. After two more volunteering positions in human services, in addition to working as a case manager and caregiver with dementia-diagnosed clients, I decided that I wanted to dedicate my life to caregiving and social services, and continue this amazing journey. There is great satisfaction in being able to assist individuals who are in need of help to maintain a quality of life that they desire, in addition to helping people to better themselves. I am very proud of the work that I have accomplished both academically, in my community, and professionally. And lastly, here's a little bit about me: I have a BA in psychology and human services, and have aspirations to return to school for a doctorate in psychology. On a personal note, I am an artist in my down time, love my two dogs, appreciate the outdoors, am an avid gardener, and very much love cooking and baking.

I've always been interested in healthcare and taking care of the elderly. They have so many great stories and memories to share, plus taking care of them reminds me of when I did it for my own grandpa! I loved being able to care of him in his own home! I've worked will all different levels and types. I've worked in assisted living facilities, memory care locked units for the dementia and Alzheimer's patients and have also done a lot of in home health care which I love the most! I'm a very patient, caring person that will take care of your loved one just like I would one of my family members!

My hope is to help grieving families and change the financial strain that funerals leave on many families. When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family.
