I became a caregiver when my father was recovering from lung cancer & had knee surgery. He required extensive care regarding mobility, physical therapy, meal planning/nutrition, prescription management, & hygiene. I love seeing changes in the lives of others when I attend to them with their very specific needs. I'm adaptable, easy to talk to & get people talking, so they begin to feel a connection with others, rather than isolated or alone. I've provided care to my grandfather, whose life was transitioning painfully with bone cancer. One of my greatest achievements was to see his pain managed not only through medication, but listening to him recall his life's stories, reading to him his favorite, National Geographic, & providing him with all the personal touches that alleviated the inevitable suffering that comes with this type of cancer. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS. I will care for your loved one just as I would one of my own parents, with understanding, being present and available for whatever they need.

I became a caregiver completely by accident because a lady I knew needed someone to care for her Mom and I was available. I realized that I was very good at it. I love helping people that cannot help themselves. I helped a lady that had PSP, a form of Parkinsons, that was the first time that I had fed, clothed, bathed and changed underwear on an adult. Helping her was so absolutely rewarding. I made her's and her daughter's life a lot easier. I am a CNA, 57 years of age, 2 adult daughters, 2 grandchildren. I enjoy providing exceptional healthcare for the aged, mentally and physically disabled. My background began as a Medic in the United States Army. I transitioned and worked as a licensed Medic for numerous of years providing emergency medicine, basic life support, advanced life support, ambulatory care, geriatric care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, amongst others to say the least. I'm also a licensed Assisted Living Administrator and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. I have developed a genuine passion over the years for providing assisted living services for the elderly so that they may enjoy living independently at home opposed to living their lives in a nursing facility. As a mother of three US Marine sons, I too believe in honor, courage, and commitment. I strived to be the best role model for my grown children, all five of them, and am honored by their great contributions to our great country. My passions in life include being physically fit, active, reading, furniture restorations, and as much good old fashioned humor and laughter available! With my experience as a CNA and previous twelve years as an EMT for the Atlanta area, I am very capable and prepared for any job. I consider myself highly dependable, articulate, innovative, and knowledgeable in most aspects of care.
Hello I am Christy, I am a teacher by profession, I had taught 14 years in the Philippines and I am a license teacher too in Wisconsin. I just moved in GA last June 2019. I am a good caregiver, I gave cares to my clients as they arr my parents, I am honest, trustworthy, patient, and loves what I do. My mom who suffered from Parkinson Desease inspired me to be a caregiver. After she passed away 2 years ago, I fall in love in this job and gave up my being a teacher. This job gave me happiness and fullfilment. What I enjoyed most about caregiving is I feel like I am close to my mother. I am inpired by the elders wisdom, and there love stories. I became very close to some as they are my mom or dad. I had undergone lots of training for this job. Going back to school to be a CNA, and hoping to go further. I am a licensed professional educator, but for me to be happy in what you do, and giving happiness to people you are giving service with is one of the best achievement could ever have.
