My name is Shania Williams, I am 25 years old. I love being a compassionate, dependable caregiver. I love working in this field not only because I work for myself and make my own schedule but because I love helping those that need my assistance. I know how to bathe, dress, meal prep, housekeeping, etc. I also provide transportation and companionship. It gives me a peace of mind knowing I am helping others. Furthermore, I graduated Atlanta Technical college for Medical Assistant.

I went into healthcare right out of high school and have been in the field since. I love providing care for all ages. Its my passion. I'm currently in school to continue my education in nursing. I volunteer at my local animal control. I am very passionate about animal care and protecting them from abuse. I current foster animals to get them ready for their furever home.

As a caregiver I love providing support and assistance to individuals who may be elderly, disabled, or in need of help due to health issues. My responsibilities often include helping with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication management, and providing companionship. I possess strong qualities such as empathy, patience, and communication skills. Additionally, I have the ability to adapt to different situations and needs that allows me to offer personalized care to my patients.

I want to be a caregiver because I’ve always enjoyed taking care of others, even as a child when I would watch my younger siblings; These days, I’m looking for a job that is challenging, rewarding and positively impacts others’ lives, and I find all those qualities in caregiving. What I love about caregiving is the fact that I know I'm making a difference in peoples lives everyday. A personal achievement that I am proud of is going back to College and becoming a medical assistant all while raising my grandson. I am a Certified Medical Assistant and have also worked as an EMT. I have worked in home health care and assistant living home. I am CPR and First Aid trained. I am dependable and trusting, female and love to help others. I am willing to do just about anything needed; medication management, bed baths, hair washing, personal grooming, diaper changes (night time as well), meal preparation, laundry, light cleaning, companionship and love. I have a valid driver's license and own transportation to do grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, and other errands may be added. Im patient to those i take care of and im an expertise in the care i give to my patients. From start to finish i make sure th person has everything done to them as if they were still doing for themselves. I can give them peace and a bit of happiness in their last days or until they recover. I enjoy being a caregive because i can give them one on one attention. Im most proud of the times when i can make one smile even in their darkest days. And put the family members a chance to do what they need to do. Putting their minds at rest.
