I've been a caregiver for over 15 great years, I'm a honest hard worker, I've had long relationships with my clients and families, my goals are to make sure my clients get the full care, love and attention they need, I work with my heart, me and my past clients both all agree that this is my calling, I will go that extra mile for my clients and their families. I've had to take care of my paraplegic nephew because he wasn't getting the care he needed from the facility he was in, so I went to school for medical assistant so I could learn to take care of him in the future, that's what attracted me to become a caregiver. I mostly enjoy helping those who can't care for themselves. My personal achievement comes from my clients and their families happy with me and my services as a caregiver.

I have been a personal caregiver for over 6 years and I thoroughly enjoy and love the elderly. I first had the previlege of caring for my late husband. I see caregiving job as a ministry to give back to those who have given so much in their lifetime. As a caregiver I try to put myself and every situation as my own so that I can take the time to not only understand how the family member feels but also my patients, Sometimes it's not an easy task taking on someone new and not knowing the person, I try my best to understand everything and every situation. What I enjoy most is being able to show the unconditional love that I have to give.

I am one of the most empathetic caregivers you will meet. I first became a caregiver in 2002 as an STNA with extensive training. I enjoy being able to help with ADLs , but still allowing the client/resident/patient to be as independent as possible. I enjoy helping to increase client's/resident's/patient's will to live. I will/have alway respect the client's/resident's/patient's rights and adhere to all HIPPA laws. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is the time I changed a resident's entire temperament towards the staff by simply showing him that I actually care. He was a combative dementia patient. Being a hair stylist, I would cut his hair and line him up. The constant compliments received from the staff and residents boosted his confidence and definitely increased his will to live. Although, that was many years ago the thought of it still warms my heart.

I went into healthcare right out of high school and have been in the field since. I love providing care for all ages. Its my passion. I'm currently in school to continue my education in nursing. I volunteer at my local animal control. I am very passionate about animal care and protecting them from abuse. I current foster animals to get them ready for their furever home.
