I became a care giver, base on the fact that I used to care for my grandparents when they weren't well. It is my pleasure to see the smile on the patient 's face after he/she has been fed or given a bath or just talking to the patient and seeing the level of trust and comfort on the patient's face. My personal achievement is when my patient who was completely blind trusted me enough to be able to gain access by herself to surrounding again. I was born in the country Jamaica, I'm 50 years of age, I have a son and to sum me up I am a very caring, humble, kind and punctual person. I also did nursing assistant studies in Jamaica.

I became a care giver after my husband became ill with cancer. The treatment he got in the hospital and hospice makes me sick to my stomach. Especially the way some nurses spoke to him. I then decided to become a CNA so I can help him and the other patients who really need proper care. To treat every one of my patients the way I would like to be treated if and when I get sick. Other words treat them the way I want to be treated. My personal achievement that I'm proud off is right after giving my client his bath on 10/28/14, he hold my hand and told me thank you for everything, and I love you then took his last breath. That told me for the five years I was taking care of him I was doing a good job. My name Jenette, I've been a CNA for 19 years. Worked at Lincoln Hospital in NY as a PCT for 5 years. Moved from NY to Atlanta GA where I've worked as a CNA or Home Health Aid for 12 years. I love my job very much. Taking care of the sick is what I do, and I do it to the best of my knowledge.

In 1992, My mother experience colon cancer and I felt hopeless because I was not sure what to do. After her death, I felt the need to change my Career and help other families with their parents health problems. That is when I became a CNA in 1994. I knew this is what I meant to do. I loved helping patience and putting my all into my job. In 2014, I also lost my father form Alzheimer's, While he was alive I did all I could do as a caregiver to help and take care of him. With my patients I treat them as family not strangers. I show them that I care and will never do anything to harm them. I keep everything I do very professional and display excellent care. I honestly can say I really enjoy my job and I want to show families that I will do everything in my will to help them. I am a very devoted and loyal worker and will never allow disappointment to my clients.

What makes me a good care giver is that I'm a sweet,dependable,and caring person. I became a care giver because I love helping and putting a smile on people's face.A personal achievement I'm proud of is that I was working on a job for a month,and the family was proud of the way I took such good care of there mom.they informed my boss.I was put on the shiny star wall in the office so that everyone could see I was a great worker.I also received a gift.

I have been a care giver for about 20 + yrs. I love being able to help people. I began my career as a caregiver at Covington Manor Nursing home in 1996. I later began helping my family with their home care. I began working with in home care agencies around 2012. I love what I do. If being a CNA makes one client happy then I know I have done my job. It takes a special person to be a caregiver.
