I decided to become a Licensed caregiver, when my mom fell sick and I needed to take care of her. It was quite easy to help out with her day to day needs. Even though she died after 6 months, I know she felt confident that I was part of the team who took great care of her. That is when I knew that I wanted to do this, and bring joy and smiles to all my patients. I love being a caregiver because, it is fulfilling to know that I helped someone today. I helped one of my Clients who had almost given up, have hope again. He became active and started going to therapy again, he eventually walked after 2 years of having a stroke. I am a very positive person, I am always smiling, and I treat all my clients as I would want to be treated, with respect and much love.
As a small child I have always dream of becoming a nurse, I always loved helping my grandparents and just to see the smile on their face was priceless. Now as an adult knowing that I make a difference with people like just a simple smile or teaching someone about medication really make me love being a caregiver. Being a caregiver is more than providing care but also having empathy for them. My personal achievement that I am proud of is how how I started out as a nurse assistant and climb the ladder to become a nurse. I learn to respect every level of the health field. I currently just relocated to Georgia from Michigan, I am a Licensed Practical Nurse for 8years. I am CPR Adult & Child Certified. I have experience in Nursing/Rehab Center, Hospital and Home Care. I am a dependable, efficiently and competently individual who works well with diverse patient populations.
