I'm 33 years of age and I've been a certified DSP for 10 and have been a care giver for 14 yrs . Working as a caregiver brings me so much joy . I love the fact that I can help someone in need and make them feel at ease .. Helping someone keep their independence is very important to me, that's what interested me in becoming a caregiver.. My biggest achievement is going back to school.

My personality traits or expertise that help me be a great caregiver would include my genuine love for people and the fact that I have over 19 years of experience in the healthcare field. I am a certified nurse assistant and certified medication technician in the state of Missouri and have maintained my certifications for about 19 years. I also have several credits earned at Chamberlain Nursing School of Saint Louis. I have a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters Degree in Business Administration with the Emphasis of Leadership Management. I am currently a caregiver for my disabled neighbor and have been her caregiver for about 2 years. I am also a caregiver for my parents. My father is a cancer patient with a heart condition. My mother needs help as well. She is long covid survivor and has issues stemming from Covid-19. The need is all around me. I thoroughly enjoy helping people who need healthcare assistance. I have worked in long term care facilities/settings, not only caring for the residents needs, but making sure that they are taking their medications with the correct dosage and scheduled times. I administer their medication where I have to count for narcotics at the beginning and end of my shifts. I have self-gratification each time that I am of aid to my patients and I feel very satisfied when I give care as well as having a smile on my face to cheer up my patients.

I have been giving personalized compassionate care for 24 yrs. I have experience in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living and hospice facilities as well. I believe in caring for the individual as a whole, taking care to look as their physical needs, mental/emotional needs and spiritual needs.I can be a liaison between other care providers and your doctor if necessary, I will take clients to doctor appointments to convey progress or decline in health. I will ensure that their nutritional needs are met and work with my clients to help them achieve the highest quality of life through daily exercising whether lying in bed, in a chair or able to stand/walk. I love the hands on care and attention that i give to each individual that i have taken care of, i am very compassionate when it comes to being a caregiver. I treat those as I would want to be treated once I reach the age were I may need someone to come take care of me me. I love to sit and talk and I make sure that all their needs have been met.
