I became a Caregiver after over 27 years of being a Certified Nursing Assistant and Patient Care Tech. Although I enjoy working in LTC facilities, Hospitals, and Rehabilitation facilities I really enjoy the ability to give one-on-one care....it is very personable. I pride myself on the care and attentiveness I share with my clients. I am CPR certified, am knowledgeable in gluecose care, Catherter and colostomy care. and again I have worked in the care of the elderly over 27 years.

I have good listening skills, great time-management skills and dependable. I love taking care of people and making an impact on people's lives and I've learned and grown in being a great caregiver. I also find comfort in knowing that I can provide care for someone who needs assistance in their home or in a facility providing extra help and comfort. My name is Betty Paxton and I am a CNA. I have been for over 25 years. I love this kind of work because this is my calling in life. I believe that every one was born for a special job and this is mine. I believe in doing more then I am expected to do because, I love cooking and making my food look and tasted good. Every clinit I work for, wants me to come back. I work with 3 companys and I believe in treating my clinits like I want people to treated my mother. I care for my mother from time to time as well.
I have been a caregiver for approximately 6 years now. I decided to become a caregiver because i believe that everyone deserves a good quality of life. I had a grandmother who lived to be 112 years of age and i took on the responsibility of caring for her. i am very compassionate about what i do and i do it to the best of my knowledge. I am a graduate student with a degree in psychology and planning on furthering my education. i have a 6 year old daughter and i am very family oriented. Im 48 yrs old..have been a CNA since 1986. Ive worked in Alzhiemers and dementia unit for 12 yrs..and have worked skilled care the rest of my career. I also have my sanitation license because I also cooked in one of the facilities I worked at. I take care of ppl with same respect I would want my parents taken care of. I am also a grandma to 8 beautiful grandkids.
I enjoy helping others,I have impeccable training with Brain injuries, short and long term, Demetia,feeding...Im alsi a great companion. Working with the elderly is truly a pleasure, I have compassion for the ailing, I am at my Clients side with great pleasure, as a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 9, I am honest and hard working, I enjoy alot of family time and yard work.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others, I don't look at what I do as work because I enjoy it so much I enjoy the different people that I meet and the different things I learn.
