My name is Krystal Orris, I'm 37 yrs old. I have been a Geriatric care specialist for 17 yrs. I became a GCS in 2005 to help work in Geriatric Care with the hopes of one day becoming a nurse. I have lots of experience in long term care. Including hospice, home health, activities of daily living, companionship, medication assistance, colostomy, ileostomy care, dialysis care, oxygen assistance

I have been taking care of my parents since September of 2020 doing in home care for my parents. I have experience teaching exercise class since 1999 in gentle stretching and Yoga/Pilates. It has been a great experience giving them aid in their last years of life. I have a BLS CPR certification that is valid until 9/2021. It has been a very rewarding experience being with them during their final years and taking on their care of them and make them smile. Although most of my previous positions have been in the administrative assistant position I have truly enjoyed being a part of making a difference in elderly persons life and being there for them to help them with their care and making life a little easier for them.

I love taking care of people I'm a very loving person !! My grandma before she passed was on hospice and we took care of her until her last breath this is why I'm attracted to being a caregIver. In 2 more weeks I'll be a certified nursing assistant

I love being able to give back and help someone that is not able to care for themselves or there family.One thing I am currently in the process of achieving is getting my Associates degree. I love people and I am very outgoing and dependable.

I have been a CNA since 2007 after completing a health occupations course in high school. I have always had a passion for helping people and am truly blessed to have landed a wonderful career in healthcare as a radiologic technologist. I have done various caregiver jobs from hospital, in home and nursing home thought the years, especially while I was in college. The reward of being able to help those in need is a wonderful blessing. Life gets busy and sometimes we need an extra help from another person to help continue life. I enjoy every client or patient I have ever taken care of and enjoy hearing stories from back in the day! I have continued serving those in need outside my full time position. I currently work Monday through Friday and have every Saturday and Sunday off. I am looking to assist others on Saturdays and Sundays. I am current on BLS and CNA.

I became a caregiver because I knew when I was 10 years old this is what I wanted to do, my mom had to have a major stomach surgery and her incision got infected so the home health nurse came to the out everyday to repack and clean the wound out, I would help the nurse bloody gauze and nasty stuff everywhere but it didn't gross me out, I make an amazing caregiver because I always put myself in a different pair of shoes , what if it was my mother, father, or grandparent? How would I want them to be treated? I am very proud of myself for having that mentality. I thrive off of making my clients/patients smile every single day.

Most companies say not to get to attached to clients, but I do. I treat them like Family. Their needs are most important to me and I treat them with utmost care and security!! Your loved one is safe and secure with me!

On top of giving quality care, you have to be compassionate. I am the one to listen to the person when they are upset or want to tell you a story from their past. I like to hear their concerns about life. I come from a large family and we all took care of each other. Besides helping others, I enjoy learning about someone's past. I like to know that families consider me a confidante and a friend long after I am done working.
