I am a caring person who loves to help anyone in need. My goal while caregiving is to not only watch over the person requesting my help but to make their time enjoyable, fun and fulfill as many tasks that time allows us to. To see how happy and accomplished the patient feels is something I look forward to, I love brining smiles to their faces knowing the have not only a companion but a friend! I am also fluent in Spanish and have my CNA.

To be a good caregiver it is important to have the diversity and flexibility to care anyone that is in need and when it is needed. It is very important to have compassion and understanding of the care the individual is seeking. Having knowledge of the specific care of an individual is important. It is also important to be dependable and prompt for the client. The bond between the caregiver and client plays an important roll. Trust and compassion is important. All of these together is my ideal GREAT caregiver. How I chose to be a caregiver is simple, it fell into place with undecided decisions. My son had several medical problems after returning home from Afghanistan. I was very involved with my sons medical attention. I worked side by side with all his medical care teams to give appropriate treatment. During his time of recovery and on going treatment, I resigned from my career so that I may provide the care my son needed. With the involvement and attention from the VA, the veterans affairs asked me to become legally his caregiver. They sent me through a quick program at Easter seals then licensed me and assigned me his caregiver. I have really enjoyed learning the different medical attention and approaches he and others need. It came natural to me. Therefore, I have decided to return to college and and change careers to be in the medical industry. I am planning on getting accepted into the RN program at my local college. I have taken a class to receive my certification for CPR. My son is excelling and maintaining his health which leaves me to have time to provide my care to others. I enjoy being a caregiver because I am giving back to the ones that are in need of care. I enjoy the companion, responsibility, and diversity. My personal achievement would be my son. I raised him on my own. I watched him tackle some hard hurdles in his life such as his health issues after returning home from war in 2011.

I have many years experience with caregiving and have been in the health field since 1984. Always attending to those special needs of the client, with the upmost respect. Doing any tasks at hand, according to the care plan. To make sure, they know they can trust me and I am there for them. I helped taking care of my heavenly Stepdad and it made my heart whole. I would take care of others, just like they was family. I am very tentative and compassionate and want them to trust me. I love helping out others, in time of need. Is a position where it requires many hats and I have worn many. I have been there for many, until the end. To do my job that best that I can, to show them I care and see a smile, would complete my day.

Taking care of people is my favorite thing to do. I am caring, open minded, and extremely dedicated to taking care of people. I love the appreciation and satisfaction that I feel after caring for residents and knowing that I helped them to the best of my ability. I find joy in spending time and getting to know the people I care for. I am a CNA at the moment, and I have been introduced to so many amazing things in the healthcare world. Currently, I am attending nursing school and I cannot wait to graduate and enter the healthcare field to help so many more people.

I am a phenomenal care giver, because I am a kind, understanding, and sympathetic person. I always put others needs over mine and I love helping people in need. I am reliable, and have a reliable vehicle for transportation. I am flexible when needed. I enjoy the feeling of being helpful and knowing I can make a person'a day easier, or even something as small as having conversations with a person to make their day better. I enjoy seeing a person's face or mood lighten up after I help them fulfill their daily needs. My greatest personal achievement is helping somebody through their worst time in life, causing them to smile and enjoy the time they have while doing activities or even just having a conversation.

My name is Alanna, I am 22 years old. Currently I am looking to secure an overnight caregiver position near Joliet, IL. I have cared for my grandfather after knee replacement surgery and after sinus surgery. I have cared for my grandmother during her fight against breast cancer. I also cared for a neighbor who was going through dialysis complications. I love the rewarding experiences I have had while caring for others. I have learned a lot about life and how precious it is. I would be happy caring for others in my everyday life. My hobbies include reading, photography, bowling and spending time with my family. I am avaliable between the hours of 7pm-7am everyday of the week. I have my own transportation and am willing to travel up to 25 miles. I am happy to help in any way I can. My name is Amanda I'm a 23 year old college student well on my way to becoming a nurse. I have always been the type of person to put anyone before myself. I take pride in my job as a CNA. Being a CNA is more then what people say or assume it is. Ive become very attached to patients/clients/residents that i have cared for. You have to have a big heart to be able to a CNA its a very hard job, but to me it isn't just some job. I have been by residents sides from the beginning of their stay to the end. I like to think of anyone i can for as my own family member not just a patient, resident, or client.

I love helping others out and knowing I can do a small act for something that can make their day significantly better. I enjoy cleaning a lot so I have no problem helping out with housework! I have worked as both a CNA in a nursing home and a home care aid and loved both jobs! Good eye for detail and am very observant so I know when someone is needing help or is confused about something. I enjoy being able to help others out. A personal achievement I am proud of is getting my CNA certificate and also birthing my beautiful son.
