Hello my name is Chassidy Weaver, I am a mother of 2 and passionate about my work and caring for others as much as I am my family. I have 14 years experience as a caregiver, I have worked with special needs residents, in a long term care setting, as well as assisted living, with people needing extended care & dementia care. I am also a qualified medication assistant with CPR certification. I enjoy connecting with residents & treat them like they are family and show them how important they are despite disabilities and being a companion for them. I am proud of my achievements as a caregiver because I easily connect with senior citizens and I take pride in the trust they usually have in me. I am very empathetic and I love taking care of people especially the older ones. I am punctual and very trustworthy. I have worked in various healthcare positions. I think my willingness to learn and my love for taking care of people definitely attracted me to this profession. I love their faces and smiles when you do the smallest things but they are so big to them and the satisfaction of making sure their taken care of at the end of every shift. I have always wanted to help people and make a positive impact on others. I had to perform life-saving for a client and saved their life. My military training exposed me to many cultures and people and prepared me to respond quickly in a crisis.

I became a nurse because my great aunt was an amazing woman and role model. She was a nurse and I wanted to be just like her. Homecare has been the field I have been in the most. Graduating from nursing school in 1992 and getting married I started my homecare adventure in Indianapolis. I absolutely loved it and have continued with multiple agencies. Until adopting twin boys with disabilities in 2002. They needed too much care and we have raised a total seven beautiful children. So my work outside of the home has been sparse since then. But they are turning 19 this year and I would like to get to work part time again but still be available as needed for them. So I am only available MTWF in the mornings from 9-1. I know that is limited but feel I could bless someone as I have been blessed.

I took care of my grandmother full time for 10 years. I also recently moved in with my best friend who had stage 4 cancer and took care of her full time until she passed away. I've realized that my calling in life is taking care of people. I'm also a part time pre school teacher. I'm very patient, kind, friendly, and compassionate. I'm also CPR certified and was a CNA for several years.

Hello! I'm Alicyn. I am currently a nursing student at Ivy Tech Community College. After graduating in Spring 2019, I plan on working as a nurse here in Marion while attending school to complete my bachelors degree. I take most classes online at this point so I will have a flexible schedule in coordination with my current job at MGH.

I do what I do because carding for others is what I like to do. I grew up caring for others and continued to do it in my adult life. Children are my specialty but I also like making sure adults are cared for the way they should be. I wouldn't want anyone to sit and watch their phone instead of working with me so I want to make sure they have someone there to interact with them and make them feel as they have someone to depend on. Treat others as you want to be treated. Family isn't always blood related.
