I started young as a medical assistant..continued working in Healthcare on and off for nearly 30 yrs. Came home to be caregiver to my parents and continued in caregiving since their death. I am laid back, patient, witty and out right funny at times. I take my caregiver responsibility seriously. I'm punctual and dedicated. I have a soft spot for the elderly so my clients quickly become my friends. My belief is that all people should be shown respect and compassion. I am an animal lover but am allergic to cats.

I am a CHHA since 1993 because I am a natural nurturing person. What I like mostly about being a caregiver is the flexibility and travel. I provide Housekeeping,Meal Prep, Medication Reminders, Toileting, Hair Grooming, Bathing, Transferring, Hoyer Lift, Walking, ROM Exercise My personal achievement that I am most proud of is that I achieved three certifications within the same year of November 2013 my GED,Certified Clinical Medical Assistant,Certified Phlebotomist. In February 2015, I became a Certified Home Health Aide with 40 hours of training. I am highly motivated and eager to learn and work well independently. What I would tell my younger self is becoming a Caregiver is one of the best jobs that you can have and stick with it, do a Great Job because God will Bless You and give you the desires of your heart, just like he said he would in the Bible. I decided to become a caregiver three years ago because I've seen a few older people not being treated the way I feel they should. I also have a grandmother that's the love of my life and I know how I want her to be treated and I give that love and treatment to my clients and that's what makes me a great caregiver.

Before getting into caregiving I was a medical assistant. I worked in a family care facility along with a cardiologist. They were a husband, wife team. I really have a great compassion for the elderly and after working with a broad spectrum of health care I felt we need to standup and help the elderly, after all who was there for us. I enjoy talking and caring for the elderly. I spealize with Alzheimer's and dementia.

I became a Caregiver because I want to give back to our aging populations and assist with their declining year with grace and respect. What I like about being a care giver is, not only am I a help to someone but I learn from them as well. Example, I've learned to treat everyone the way I would like to be treated if I were in their place. I also learned to take the time to talk and acknowledge the client. One of my most proudest client achievements, was when I was hired to assist a stroke patient with his daily schedule. This included getting him out of bed, grooming, get dress, prepare meals, and daily exercises. I was told his wife lived with him but she was still very independent and wanted to be left alone she wouldn't speak to anyone. On my first day I spoke to her, by the second day we were having coffee and a very nice conversation. You see, I acknowledge her and that it was her home as well as her husband's. Who am I? Someone who loves what I do, it matters not if I'm working as a Certified Medical assistant, Certified Nursing assistant or Caregiver. My goal is to make a different by letting my clients or patients know someone does care and I am there for them.

As a child I've always wanted to be a nurse. I enjoyed growing up looking after the smaller children in my family. The older I got, I had to help take care of my grandparents when they became ill. I feel that if you're in the medical field you should always treat people the way you would want to be treated. My last job consisted of me taking care of people with mental and physical disabilities. It really humbles me and warms my heart to be able to brighten someone's day and make them feel better. Getting my CNA certificate has helped me move one step closer to becoming an RN. I really enjoy meeting new people.

I care for elderly. I will provide the best assistant as the duty calls for. I have taken care of elderly clients for over 30 yrs. I am married and I am a Christian woman and I enjoy being a helper to the seniors.

My name is Javona Hines , I am 39 yrs young. I have 3 children all boys 23,21,6. I always have had a passion for care giving. When I was a teenager my grandmother was ill and my parents refused to send her to a nursing home so of course we couldn't have that. My granny made me realize its about how big your heart is and respect for your elders whether there happy , sad or ill.
