My name is Courtney Adams. I am a mother of 2 and a wonderful aid. I am a only child and my generation of family is a lot older. Growing up most of them opt to pass away at home leaving my grandmother, my mother and myself to care and comfort them. Then I knew that I was born to be a caregiver and a nurtured nurtueror. I have been a paid at a couple of hospitals and various long term care, rehab, hospice and assisted living facilites. My greatest accomplishment as a aid is seeing the faces of patients and family when I have made a patient feel better, or brought a patients pulse back. As a aid I am determined to make patients feel as good comfortable and loved as possible.

My name is Shawndell Rideau I've been in the medical field for about 15 years. I'm experienced in skilled nursing, homecare, special disabilities, hospice care, rehab, etc . I love what I do being able to care for other is passion and blessing to put a smile on their face. Since I was a little girl going to the nursing home with my school choir singing and dancing for the residents always made them happy . At 19 I went and got my C.N.A license and went from there pursing my passion . I went to school a couple years back and got my Medical Assistant Certification which im proud of and want to go back for my R.N.

I have been a care giver since I was 18. I am very trustworthiness, respectful, honest. I am also very dependable. I have 4 kids two boys and 2 girls. they are my world. I am also very patient. I like doing this because I had grandparents and took care of them My achievements are I just pass my ccma class.

What's makes a great Caregiver is someone that has compassion for what they do. That comes with being honest, genuine, patient, and loving. I believe I am all those and more. I always try to connect with people, make memories and become a part of their life. I love to read, write, and I absolutely love puzzles. I have been a certified nursing assistant for a year now, with that CNA license I also carry a certified medication aides license giving me the ability to administer medication as well. I am going to school at JCCC and I do work as well. Mostly during the day. I've had multiple different kinds of experience with allot of people. I have had experience with residents that have had a g-tube, I have personal experience when it comes to that. I also have experience with trachea, a colostomy, someone being paralyzed, and also residents that have Dementia. I love my job and what I do. Being able to make memories with those that I see everyday makes my heart glow. The achievement that I am most proud of is escaping a harsh environment with my child by my side. And finding a passion I long for which is making others smile. Doing the best I can as a mother, a caregiver. And a friend.

My personality traits are to help me be a great caregiver is -loyalty, hones, respectful, responsible, fairness, and kindness. What really attracted me to be a caregiver was when i started going to work with my Mom and as a caregiver you have a vital to play in the life of anther person. I enjoy being a caregiver and being with my clients and making sure all their needs are taken care of and being able to grow with them. What i am proud of the most is completing my CMA certificate.
