Wash their face, comb their hair, brush their teeth, etc....make them feel good and refreshed! Respect their religion and ask questions! Listen to them and pay attention to what they are telling you. Respect them and their home! I love helping others that have a hard time helping themselves. It's rewarding to me and it comes from my HEART! I have helped my whole family who have passed in their home with cancer, heart problems, Parkinson's disease, and not one went to a nursing home! This is why I became a CNA! It gave me such gratitude and made me feel good to see them smile at me everyday for making them feel good! When I walk through a patients front door I walk into Their home! I have been a care giver for 10 yrs. I enjoy being a caregiver. Ive always been the person to care for everyone in my life. It's just comes natural to me. I have 6kids on top of this so I definitely enjoy every minute of it! I'm CNA certified and CPR certified. I really enjoy being apart of helping someone's lives feel more enjoyable. I became a Caregiver because I love to help people. After high school I will be attending Kansas Wesleyan University to study nursing.
